For those interested students who want to experience all the features and functions of the National Scholarship Portal need to follow these simple steps to register as a new entrant. Go through this article to understand the step-by-step process of online registration-

The process of Application for NSP consists of 4 stages, as follows:

Stage 1: Course of Registration

  • All new users need to visit the official website of the National Scholarship Portal.
  • Now, Click on ‘New Registration’ button to open the registration form.
  • Read all the guidelines before filling the form.
  • After this, click on ‘Continue’ tab to proceed.
  • A new window will appear on the screen and students need to enter all the details in the prescribed format.
  • Hit the ‘Register’ tab to submit an application.
  • After the registration process has done, the applicant will get his/her application ID and password on the verified email id or mobile number.

Stage 2: Process of Log In

  • Students need to tab on ‘Log in’ button to start the application process.
  • Enter your Application Id and Password details received on your registered email id or mobile number.

Stage 3: Change your Password

  • It is one of the most important steps as you don’t want to be in trouble.
  • When you successfully login in your account, you will get an OTP on your confirmed mobile number.
  • Enter this OTP and you will be directed to change the password page.
  •  Enter your new password and continue the process.

Stage 4: Organize Your Dashboard

  • Once you submit your changed password, you will be directed to the Applicant’s Dashboard Page.
  • Hit the ‘Application Form’ to enter all the details.

While applying for any scholarship on NSP, the students are required to upload certain documents to complete the application process. However, for the scholarship amount less than ₹ 50,000, the students are not required to upload any document. They need to submit the copy of documents in their respective schools/college/institute. For all other scholarships, the students should keep the following documents handy –

  • Bank Passbook
  • Educational documents
  • Aadhaar number
  • Domicile Certificate (as specified in the respective scholarship guidelines)
