COMEDK UG Exam

COMEDK (Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka), as the name signifies, is a state-level entrance exam. It is conducted for admission of candidates for 20,000 seats in 150 Engineering colleges, 25 Dental colleges and 14 Medical Colleges. COMEDK organises two separate entrance exams for undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The COMEDK UGET Exam is held for the Engineering courses - B.Tech and B. Arch and the COMEDK PGET Exam is held for the Postgraduate Medical courses.

Since 2017 the COMEDK UGET Exam is being held only for the B.Tech. and B.Arch.

COMEDK UG Exam 2019 Eligibility

The candidates should fulfil certain criteria to be eligible for the exam. It should be noted that there will be no entrance test for admission in the B.Arch course. Instead, the candidate’s NATA score will be used for admission. In addition, the applicants must meet the educational criteria in order to sit in the exam. Those wishing to join the B.Arch course are required to fill the separate application forms.

Eligibility Criteria for B.Arch Course

  • Candidates should have done Class 12th or equivalent with Mathematics as one of the compulsory subjects.
  • General category candidates should have scored minimum aggregate marks of 50%. Candidates of the reserved category should have scored at least 45% marks in aggregate.
  • They should have secured a minimum score of 80 marks out of 200 in the NATA Exam to be considered eligible for admission.

Eligibility Criteria for B.Tech course

  • Students should have done Class 12th in PCM (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) from any recognised board/ University.
  • Diploma holders are not eligible to apply for the COMEDK UGET exam.
  • General category candidates should have scored minimum 45% marks in aggregate. The reserved category candidates should have scored at least 40% marks in aggregate to become eligible for the exam.
  • Physics and Mathematics are the compulsory subjects.

COMEDK UG Exam 2019 Application Process

The candidates can apply online for the COMEDK 2019 UGET. There is no provision for the offline mode for the submission of the Application form. The Application form for the COMEDK UGET can be availed from January 2019 till April 2019. After submitting the application form, the candidate should not forget to keep its print copy. This will be for their ready reference in future.

How To Apply

  • A candidate should visit the official website of the COMEDK (https://www.comedk.org).
  • He/ she should select the option UGET of the COMEDK 2019 Exam.
  • The candidates should get registered by filling their basic details – name, address, email id and mobile number.
  • Upon registration, the candidate will be given a login ID and password on their email id.
  • By entering login id and password, the candidate will be able to access the application form.
  • A candidate should note down the Application sequence number.
  • A candidate should fill all the specified columns of the Application form.
  • He/ she should also upload the scanned copies of their Photograph, Signature, and ID proof in the specified dimension.
  • The ID Proof can be one’s Voter Id, PAN Card, Aadhar Card, DL, Passport or School or College id can be submitted.
  • Some other documents to be submitted along with the application form are –
    • The candidate must submit his/ her educational certificate scanned copy as proof, which should not exceed the size of 180 KB.
    • The candidate should also upload the scanned copy of his father’s signature.
  • The candidate should also pay the requisite application fee along with the application form.
  • Fill in the details of the application fee being paid.
  • The candidate must take the print copy of the application form for any future reference.

Application Fee

  • The Application Fee for the COMEDK UGET in the PCM group is ₹1200, and for COMEDK PGET, it is ₹2000.
  • It should be paid online by Net Banking, Credit Card or Debit Card.

Other Details

COMEDK 2019 Exam: Admit Card

The COMEDK UGET 2019 Admit Card can be downloaded online from its official website (mentioned above). No hard copy of the admit card will be sent to the candidate’s residential address. It is mandatory to bring the hall ticket at the centre of the examination. Without the same, the test-taker will not be allowed to take up the exam. The admit card is also required to be produced by the candidate during the counselling. So it should be kept safe until the completion of the whole examination process.

Result Declaration and Publication of Answer Key for COMEDK UGET 2019 Exam

The result of the exam will be declared in the last week of May 2019. An all-India merit list of successful candidates will be prepared on the basis of their score in the exam. They can check their results online by entering their login credentials. The candidates can also obtain their scorecards and rank cards.

Before the publication of the final results, the provisional and final answer keys will be published.
