The COMEDK (Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka) as the name signifies, is a state-level entrance exam. Thisexam is conducted for the admission of candidates for 20,000 seats in 150 Engineering colleges, 25 Dental colleges, and 14 Medical colleges. In a year, the COMEDK organizes two separate entrance exams for the Undergraduate courses and the Postgraduate courses. The COMEDK UGET Exam is held for the Engineering courses- B.Tech and B. Arch) and the COMEDK PGET Exam is held for the Postgraduate Medical courses.

Since 2017 the COMEDK UGET Exam is held only for the B.Tech. and B.Arch.

Eligibility for COMEDK UG Exam

The candidate should fulfill certain criteria to become eligible for the exam. It should be noted that there will be no entrance test for admission in the B.Arch course. Instead, the candidate’s NATA score will be used for admission. In addition, the candidate should fulfill certain educational criteria to become eligible for admission. The candidate wishing to join the B.Arch course is required to fill the separate application form.

Eligibility Criteria for B.Arch Course

  • The candidate should have done Class 12th or equivalent with Mathematics as one of the compulsory subjects.
  • The General category candidateshould have scored aminimum aggregate marks of 50%. A candidate of the reserved category should have scored a minimum aggregate of 45% marks.
  • A candidate should have a minimum score of 80 marks out of 200 in the NATA Exam to be considered for admission.

Eligibility Criteria for B.Tech course

  • The candidate should have done Class 12th in PCM (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) from any recognized board/ University.
  • Diploma holders are not eligible to apply for the COMEDK UGET exam.
  • The General category candidate should have scored a minimum aggregate of 45% marks. The reserved category candidate should have scored atleast 40% marks in aggregate to become eligible for the exam.
  • The Physics and Mathematics are the compulsory subjects.

COMEDK UG Exam Application Process

The candidates can apply online for the COMEDK 2018 UGET. There is no provision for the offline mode for the submission of the Application form. The Application form for the COMEDK UGET can be availed from Feb., 2018 till April, 2018. After submitting the application form,the candidate should not forget to keep its print copy. This will be for their ready reference in future.

How To Apply

  • A candidate should visit the official website of the COMEDK.
  • He/ she should select the option UGET of the COMEDK 2018 Exam.
  • The candidates should get registered by filling their basic details – name, address, email id and mobile number.
  • Upon registration, the candidate will be given a login ID and password on their email id.
  • By entering login id and password, the candidate will be able to access the application form.
  • A candidate should note down the Application sequence number.
  • A candidate should fill all the specified columns of the Application form.
  • He/ she should also upload the scanned copies of their Photograph, Signature, and ID proof in the specified dimension.
  • The ID Proofcan be one’s Voter Id, PAN Card, Aadhar Card, DL, Passport or School or College id can be submitted.
  • Some other documents to be submitted along with the application form are –
    • The candidate must submit his/ hereducational certificate scanned copy as proof, which should not exceed the size of 180 KB.
    • The candidate should also upload the scanned copy of his father’s signature.
  • The candidate should also pay the requisite application fee along with the application form.
  • Fill in the details of the application fee being paid.
  • The candidate must take the print copy of the application form for any future reference.

Application Fee

  • The Application Fee for the COMEDK UGET in the PCM group is ₹1200 and for COMEDK PGET and UniGauge it is ₹2000.
  • It should be paid online by Net Banking, Credit Card or Debit Card.

Other Details

COMEDK 2018 Exam: Admit Card

The Admit Card for the COMEDK UGET 2018 Exam can be downloaded online from its official website. No hard copy of the admit card will be sent to the candidate’s residential address. It is mandatory to bring one’s admit card at the center of the examination. Without admit card the candidate will not be allowed to take up the exam. The admit card is also required to be produced by the candidate during the counselling. So it should be kept safe till the completion of the whole examination process.

Result Declaration and Publication of Answer Key for COMEDK UGET 2018 Exam

The result of the exam will be declared on May, 2018. An all India merit list of successful candidates is prepared on the basis of their score in the exam. They can check their results online by entering their login credentials. Thecandidate can obtain his/her scorecard and rank card.

Before the publication of the final results, the provisional and final answer keys will be published on May, 2018.
