COMEDK UG Exam

The Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka or COMEDK is an autonomous institution vested with the responsibility to conduct and manage COMEDK-UGET 2020 to filter out the eligible students for admission to engineering courses in particular. For medical and dental courses, the autonomous institution will consider the NEET 2020 score. Admission to architecture course would be done based on the NATA score. The state-level entrance exam will be conducted to fill up around 20,000 seats in 190 participating engineering colleges. It will be held at approximately 300 centres across the country.

COMEDK 2020 Latest Updates – The Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka has decided to shift the exam dates of COMEDK-UGET 2020 to 25th July 2020. Earlier, the exam was likely to take place on 26th June 2020, but due to COVID-19 situation, it has postponed by the officials. More than this, COMEDK has decided to reopen the application process for UGET 2020 exams from 14 to 17th June 2020. Those who have missed the opportunity earlier, this is your second one.

Changes Made in COMEDK-UGET –

  • Since 2017 the COMEDK UGET exam is being held only for the B.Tech.
  • To get rid of malpractices, the Authority had introduced a new rule.
  • This implies accessing the application form only after the successful completion of the registration process and generation of login credentials – user ID and password.

COMEDK UG Exam 2020 Eligibility

Nationality –

  • If you are a resident of India, you are certainly eligible to appear for the COMEDK-UGET 2020 irrespective of the regions or states.

Academic Qualification for Undergraduate Engineering Courses –

  • The applicants must have completed 10+2 Higher Secondary or second PUC or equivalent exam from a recognised Board or University.
  • They should have secured a minimum aggregate of 45% marks (for general candidates) and 40% (for SC/ST/OBC students of Karnataka) in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry with English as a mandatory subject.
  • Candidates must ensure that they have passed in the individual subject.
  • Mathematics and Physics are compulsory subjects. However, one must have Bio-Technology or Computer Science or Biology or Electronics or Chemistry as one of the optional subjects.

Note: No diploma applicants can take the exam as there is no provision for lateral entry admission.

Academic Qualification for B.Arch Courses –

  • The applicants must have completed 10+2 Higher Secondary or second PUC or equivalent exam from a recognised Board or University.
  • Mathematics is the compulsory subject along with other subjects. They should have done 10+3 Diploma with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks (for general candidates) and 45% (for SC/ST/OBC students of Karnataka).
  • Admission to undergraduate architecture programme will be based on the NATA score. Candidates must take an aptitude test in 2019 for admission to B.Arch courses.

Note: The Institution will not conduct an entrance test for architecture course (NATA score 2020 will be considered). Nevertheless, students have to fill in a separate online application form for B.Arch counselling.


COMEDK UG Exam 2020 Application Process

Students interested in applying for the state-level exam can fill up the application form, as the officials once again open the application window from 14th to 17th June 2020. Before completing the registration process, read through the general instructions carefully. The applicants must not skip any details asked in the registration form. They are mandatory. Also, the mobile number and email ID should be the same throughout the entire admission process.

COMEDK-UGET Form Filling Procedure –

  • Registration: To access the application form, the candidates must register themselves at www.comedk.org. Provide details, such as name, mobile number, e-mail ID, DOB, etc. and review the details before clicking on the ‘Submit’ button. Details once submitted during the registration process will not be altered or changed later. You will receive a login user ID and password to complete the remaining process.
  • Accessing Application Form: Use the login credentials and enter information like personal details, communication details and education details.
  • Upload Documents: At this stage, you will need to upload the scanned copies of your photograph, signature, fathers’/guardian’s signature and unique ID proof. Ensure that the documents meet the prescribed sizes and dimensions.
  • Selection of Test Venue: A candidate will get 3 options to select as per his/her preference.
  • Exam Fee Payment: Release the application fee (₹ 1,600/-) online using the credit card, debit card, net banking, or UPI. The fee is non-refundable.
  • Form Submission: Take a quick look at the application form before the final submission.

Documents Specifications

  • Photograph: The photograph should be in JPEG or JPG format with less than 80kb.
  • Signature: The signature should be in JPEG or JPG format with less than 80kb. The dimension has to be 35 x 80 mm.
  • Unique ID Proof: The ID proof must be in the JPEG or JPG format with less than 80kb. The dimension should be 35 x 80 mm.

Other Details

COMEDK 2020 Mock Test

Mock test has an important role to play in helping students assess their weak points. Candidates can access the COMEDK mock test series 2020 on the official website from 5th February 2020 onwards. Practice the mock test series as much as you can and understand the pattern and the types of questions asked in the final examination.

COMEDK 2020 Admit Card

The hall tickets for COMEDK UG 2020 will be available in the month of July 2020. Visit the official website to download the same. Check for the details like the name of the exam centre, timings, candidate’s name, and other instructions. Candidates without the hall tickets will not be allowed to appear in the entrance test.

COMEDK Result 2020

The COMEDK result 2020 will be announced in the month of August 2020. Candidates are advised to visit the COMEDK website, use user ID and password and get the result right on the screen. The result will carry information such as the TAT (test admission ticket) number, category, DOB, registration number, stream, etc. Download the scorecard for future reference.

COMEDK-UGET 2020 Cut-off

The COMEDK Karnataka will publish the COMEDK-UGET cut-off 2020, which will have the names of the test-takers who have scored the minimum qualifying marks. The cut-off scores will release right after the announcement of result at the official website.

COMEDK-UGET Counselling 2020

The counselling will be done based on the merit list prepared by the Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka. The qualified candidates can participate in the counselling process in September 2020 first week.
