BITSAT Exam

Recognised as one of the six Indian ‘Institutes of Eminence’ by the Government of India in 2018, BITS (Birla Institute of Technology and Science), Pilani comes to the mind of budding engineers who wish to pursue UG engineering programmes in the upcoming academic year. To be eligible for admission to various undergraduate courses, students need to crack BITSAT 2020-21 and start filling the BITSAT 2020 Application Form. BITS, Pilani conducts the All-India computerised BITSAT entrance examination, every year, to enrol students in its B.Tech, B.Pharma and M.Sc Courses. The national-level BIT Science Admission Test is conducted in the computer-based mode. The purpose of the exam is to test the candidate’s scientific aptitude for various engineering courses. Admission is merit-based.

BITSAT 2020 Latest Notification - The result for Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test (BITSAT 2020) has been released online by 29th September 2020. The candidates who have appeared in the entrance conducted from 16th September to 23rd September 2020 can download the score card through the website- bitsadmission.com. To download the BITSAT 2020 scorecard, candidates can use their key-in credentials such as exam registration id and password to get it online.

BITSAT Exam 2020 Pattern & Syllabus

One of the first things a BITS aspirant should do is to keep a track of the exam nature. As per the latest update, BITSAT 2020 will be conducted from 16th to 18th September and 21st to 23rd September 2020 via CBT mode. But, as per the latest updates, the exam has been deferred. Talking about the examination pattern, there will be 150 questions from Chemistry, English Proficiency & Logical Reasoning, Physics and Maths/Biology.

Important Points to be noted –

  • The candidates appearing for B.Pharma exam should attempt the Biology section, whereas those appearing for other courses should attempt the Mathematics section.
  • There will be 12 extra questions in the BITSAT question paper targeting candidates with high intelligence quotient. These questions will entirely be optional. The candidates wishing to prove merit can take this section. But once they enter into this section, they cannot return to the General Section of the question paper. Hence, it is advised to enter into the special section only after completing the General section.

BITSAT Syllabus 2020

The prescribed syllabus for BITSAT exam comprises 4 important subjects. They are Physics, Mathematics/Biology, English Proficiency & Logical Reasoning and Chemistry. The BITSAT syllabus 2020 is based on current NCERT syllabus of Class XI and XII.

BITSAT Exam 2020 Eligibility

Eligibility for B. Pharma

  • Should have done class 12th from any recognised University or board with PCB (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) and English. Candidates with PCM subjects can also apply to the Pharmacy program.
  • Should have scored minimum aggregate marks of 75% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Mathematics (whichever they have opted for BITSAT).

Eligibility for B. Tech/Other Courses

  • Should have done class 12th from any recognised University or board with PCM (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) and English.
  • Should have scored minimum aggregate marks of 75% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
  • Candidates appearing in class 12th exams in 2019 are also eligible to apply for BITSAT 2019.

BITSAT Exam 2020 Application Process

Candidates can apply for BITSAT 2020 only through the online mode. The application form has been available from 11th January 2020 and will close on 05th May 2020, which has been extended by the officials. Though offline application will not be entertained, candidates are advised to take the print copies of the filled application form for the future reference.

BITSAT 2020 Application Form Process –

  • Visit the official website of BITS Pilani - http://www.bits-pilani.ac.in.
  • Click on the ‘application form of BITSAT exam 2020’.
  • It is a 3-stage process such as Registration, Filling the Application form and Paying Application Fee.
  • For Registration, fill basic details like name, address, valid email id and mobile number.
  • Upon registration, the login ID and password will be sent to the registered e-mail id.
  • In the application form, provide all requisite details like educational qualification, certificates, age, name, address, father and mother’s details. etc.
  • Upload the digital images of photograph and signature as asked.
  • Pay the requisite application fee to complete the Application Form submission.

BITSAT 2020 Application Fee

  • The application fee for BITSAT 2020 is as similar as were available for the 2019 i.e. INR 2950/- for male candidates and INR 2450/- for female candidates.
  • Candidates (both male and female) opting for Dubai as their test centre should pay INR 4500/- as the application fee.

Mode of Application Fee Payment

  • Online through the Net Banking, Credit Card or Debit Card.
  • Offline cash payment at any ICICI Bank branch through online generated Pay-in-slip.

Note: The application fee is non-refundable.


Other Details

BITSAT Correction Window 2020

Before the release of the hall tickets for the exam, the applicants get one more opportunity to correct the mistakes on their application form. The candidates can access the BITSAT correction window 2020 from the official website by using their login-details credentials. Re-submit the form with zero error and be assured of receiving the BITSAT call letter.

BITSAT Exam Centre Allotment & Slot Booking 2020

After the correction window is closed, the Institute will give an opportunity to reserve the test date and slot. The process will begin on 09th September 2020 and will close on 10th September 2020.

BITSAT 2020 Admit Card Issuance

The admit card of BITSAT 2020 will be available online from 13th September 2020 and candidates will have to log in to their registered accounts to download it. The BITSAT 2020 admit card or BITSAT hall ticket 2020 is a crucial document. A candidate who fails to bring the admit card of BITSAT 2020 on the day of the examination, will not be allowed to enter the examination hall.

Candidates can download the BITSAT 2020 hall tickets/admit cards only by visiting the official websites. The admit card window will remain active till the exam day i.e. 16th to 18th September 2020 and 21st to 23rd September 2020, which means candidates can download their hall ticket till these dates. Hall tickets are necessary for entry into the examination hall.

Guidelines mentioned on BITSAT hall ticket 2020

  • Candidate’s fingerprint and photograph will be taken at the time of BITSAT 2020. These will be matched at the time of admission at the particular BITS campus.
  • Candidate violating the rules of the exam centre will not be allowed to continue with the test and will automatically be disqualified.
  • Calculators, bags, mobile phones, electronic gadgets, etc. are not allowed in the test venue.

Candidate must carry a pen for signing the attendance sheet and for doing rough work.

BITSAT 2020 Preference Window (Open)

BITS Pilani has opened the window for students applying for admissions to enter the class 12 exam marks along with the preferences for the degree programmes. As per now, candidates applied for the BITSAT 2020 exams need to upload their class 12 marks and fill in the preferences of the degree programmes via visiting the official website. All the potential candidates who have qualified the BITSAT 2020 examinations and have made it to the merit list will be allotted seats based on the marks secured by the candidates and the choices entered with respect to the programme.

BITSAT Direct Admission 2020 Link (Active Now)

Along with the marks and preferences uploading window, BITS Pilani has also opened the application link for the direct admissions for the respective board toppers. All the students who have topped the PCM and PCB categories in their respective boards can apply for the direct admissions to the programmes offered. As per the released notification, the rank holder of PCM stream will be considered for admission to all integrated courses in BITS Pilani. BITSAT 2020 Result

The BITSAT result 2020 is announced in the form of a scorecard. To check BITSAT 2020 result, the candidates have to enter their login credentials. Candidates can see their overall score, sectional score, number of correct-incorrect answers and the total marks deducted for their every incorrect response. One must note that the BITSAT result 2020 will be accessible only via online mode by using the required login-details of the exam.

Candidates appearing for the BITSAT 2020 exams are shown their score on the completion of the examination. Candidates can check the BITS score and also download the scorecard by visiting the official website of BITSAT.

How to download BITSAT 2020 score card?

Step 1: Visit the website- http://www.bitsadmission.com.

Step 2: In the next step, candidates need to click on the ‘score report’ link.

Step 3: Now, enter the exam user id and password in the login window.

Step 4: Score card will appear, download, and take a print out.
