Recognised as one of the six Indian ‘Institutes of Eminence’ by the Government of India in 2018, BITS (Birla Institute of Technology and Science), Pilani comes to the mind of budding engineers who wish to pursue UG engineering programmes in the upcoming academic year. To be eligible for admission to various undergraduate courses, students need to crack BITSAT 2020-21 and start filling the BITSAT 2020 Application Form. BITS, Pilani conducts the All-India computerised BITSAT entrance examination, every year, to enrol students in its B.Tech, B.Pharma and M.Sc Courses. The national-level BIT Science Admission Test is conducted in the computer-based mode. The purpose of the exam is to test the candidate’s scientific aptitude for various engineering courses. Admission is merit-based.

BITSAT 2020 Latest Notification - BITS Pilani has come up with the news that they have announced the revised dates of the Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test (BITSAT 2020) on its official website. As per the officials, the BITSAT 2020 exam will now be conducted from 6th to 10th August 2020. Earlier, BITSAT was scheduled to be conduct from 16th to 25th May 2020, but was postponed due to the Covid-19 lockdown.

One of the first things a BITS aspirant should do is to keep a track of the exam nature. The BITSAT 2020 will be conducted from 06th to 10th August 2020 via CBT mode. There will be 150 questions from Chemistry, English Proficiency & Logical Reasoning, Physics and Maths/Biology.

Important Points to be noted –

  • The candidates appearing for B.Pharma exam should attempt the Biology section, whereas those appearing for other courses should attempt the Mathematics section.
  • There will be 12 extra questions in the BITSAT question paper targeting candidates with high intelligence quotient. These questions will entirely be optional. The candidates wishing to prove merit can take this section. But once they enter into this section, they cannot return to the General Section of the question paper. Hence, it is advised to enter into the special section only after completing the General section.

BITSAT Syllabus 2020

The prescribed syllabus for BITSAT exam comprises 4 important subjects. They are Physics, Mathematics/Biology, English Proficiency & Logical Reasoning and Chemistry. The BITSAT syllabus 2019 is based on current NCERT syllabus of Class XI and XII.

BITSAT Exam 2020 Eligibility

Eligibility for B. Pharma

  • Should have done class 12th from any recognised University or board with PCB (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) and English. Candidates with PCM subjects can also apply to the Pharmacy program.
  • Should have scored minimum aggregate marks of 75% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Mathematics (whichever they have opted for BITSAT).

Eligibility for B. Tech/Other Courses

  • Should have done class 12th from any recognised University or board with PCM (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) and English.
  • Should have scored minimum aggregate marks of 75% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
  • Candidates appearing in class 12th exams in 2019 are also eligible to apply for BITSAT 2019.

BITSAT Exam 2020 Application Process

Candidates can apply for BITSAT 2020 only through the online mode. The application form has been available from 11th January 2020 and will close on 05th May 2020, which has been extended by the officials. Though offline application will not be entertained, candidates are advised to take the print copies of the filled application form for the future reference.

BITSAT 2020 Application Form Process –

  • Visit the official website of BITS Pilani -
  • Click on the ‘application form of BITSAT exam 2020’.
  • It is a 3-stage process such as Registration, Filling the Application form and Paying Application Fee.
  • For Registration, fill basic details like name, address, valid email id and mobile number.
  • Upon registration, the login ID and password will be sent to the registered e-mail id.
  • In the application form, provide all requisite details like educational qualification, certificates, age, name, address, father and mother’s details. etc.
  • Upload the digital images of photograph and signature as asked.
  • Pay the requisite application fee to complete the Application Form submission.

BITSAT 2020 Application Fee

  • The application fee for BITSAT 2020 is as similar as were available for the 2019 i.e. INR 2950/- for male candidates and INR 2450/- for female candidates.
  • Candidates (both male and female) opting for Dubai as their test centre should pay INR 4500/- as the application fee.

Mode of Application Fee Payment

  • Online through the Net Banking, Credit Card or Debit Card.
  • Offline cash payment at any ICICI Bank branch through online generated Pay-in-slip.

Note: The application fee is non-refundable.

Other Details

BITSAT Correction Window 2020

Before the release of the hall tickets for the exam, the applicants get one more opportunity to correct the mistakes on their application form. The candidates can access the BITSAT correction window 2020 from the official website by using their login-details credentials. Re-submit the form with zero error and be assured of receiving the BITSAT call letter.

BITSAT Exam Centre Allotment & Slot Booking 2020

After the correction window is closed, the Institute will allot the exam centre. This gives students to book slots as per their choice. It will probably be done in the month of June 2020.

BITSAT 2020 Admit Card Issuance

Candidates can download the BITSAT 2020 hall tickets/admit cards only by visiting the official websites. The dates of releasing the BITSAT 2020 admit card has not been declared yet, however it is likely to be available in the fourth-week of July. Test-takers need to cope with the little delay, due to coronavirus lockdown in India. Hall tickets are necessary for entry into the examination hall.

BITSAT 2020 Result

The BITSAT result 2020 will be out in the month of August, this year. Candidates can see their overall score, sectional score, number of correct-incorrect answers and the total marks deducted for their every incorrect response. One must note that the BITSAT result 2020 will be accessible only via online mode by using the required login-details of the exam.
