BITSAT Exam

Recognised as one of the six Indian ‘Institutes of Eminence’ by the Government of India in 2018, BITS (Birla Institute of Technology and Science), Pilani comes to the mind of budding engineers who wish to pursue UG engineering programmes in the upcoming academic year. To be eligible for admission to various undergraduate courses, students need to crack BITSAT 2021-22. The BITSAT 2021 Application Forms will be released in February 2021. BITS, Pilani conducts the All-India computerised BITSAT entrance examination every year to enrol students in its B.Tech, B.Pharma and M.Sc courses. The national-level BIT Science Admission Test is conducted in the computer-based mode. The purpose of the exam is to test the candidate’s scientific aptitude for various engineering courses. Admission is merit-based.

BITSAT Exam 2021 Pattern & Syllabus

One of the first things a BITS aspirant should do is to keep track of the exam nature. As per the latest update, BITSAT 2021 will be conducted in the third and fourth week of May 2021 via CBT mode. But, as per the latest updates, the exam has been deferred. Talking about the examination pattern, there will be 150 questions from Chemistry, English Proficiency & Logical Reasoning, Physics and Maths/Biology.

Important Points to be noted –

  • The candidates appearing for the B.Pharma exam should attempt the Biology section, whereas those appearing for other courses should attempt the Mathematics section.
  • There will be 12 extra questions in the BITSAT question paper targeting candidates with a high intelligence quotient. These questions will entirely be optional. The candidates wishing to prove merit can take this section. But once they enter into this section, they cannot return to the question paper's General Section. Hence, it is advised to enter into the special section only after completing the General section.

BITSAT Syllabus 2021

The prescribed syllabus for the BITSAT exam comprises 4 important subjects. They are Physics, Mathematics/Biology, English Proficiency & Logical Reasoning and Chemistry. The BITSAT syllabus 2021 is based on the current NCERT syllabus of Class XI and XII.

BITSAT Exam 2021 Eligibility

Eligibility for B. Pharma

  • Should have done class 12th from any recognised University or board with PCB (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) and English. Candidates with PCM subjects can also apply to the Pharmacy program.
  • Should have scored minimum aggregate marks of 75% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Mathematics (whichever they have opted for BITSAT).

Eligibility for B. Tech/Other Courses

  • Should have done class 12th from any recognised University or board with PCM (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) and English.
  • Should have scored minimum aggregate marks of 75% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
  • Candidates appearing in class 12th exams in 2019 are also eligible to apply for BITSAT 2019.

BITSAT Exam 2021 Application Process

Candidates can apply for BITSAT 2021 only through the online mode. The application form will become available in February 2021 and close in the last week of March 2021. Though offline applications will not be entertained, candidates are advised to take print copies of the filled application form for future reference.

BITSAT 2021 Application Form Process –

  • Visit the official website of BITS Pilani - www.bits-pilani.ac.in
  • Click on ‘Application form of BITSAT exam 2021’.
  • It is a 3-stage process such as Registration, Filling the Application form and Paying the Application Fee.
  • For Registration, fill in basic details like name, address, valid email id and mobile number.
  • Upon registration, the login ID and password will be sent to the registered e-mail id.
  • In the application form, provide all requisite details like educational qualification, certificates, age, name, address, father and mother’s details, etc.
  • Upload the digital images of the photograph and signature as asked.
  • Pay the requisite application fee to complete the Application Form submission.

BITSAT 2021 Application Fee

  • The application fee for BITSAT 2021 is similar to that for 2020, i.e. INR 2950/- for male candidates and INR 2450/- for female candidates.
  • Candidates (both male and female) opting for Dubai as their test centre should pay INR 4500/- as the application fee.

Mode of Application Fee Payment

  • Online through the Net Banking, Credit Card or Debit Card.
  • Offline cash payment at any ICICI Bank branch through an online generated Pay-in-slip.

Note: The application fee is non-refundable.


Other Details

BITSAT Correction Window 2021

Before releasing the hall tickets for the exam, the applicants get one more opportunity to correct the mistakes on their application form. The candidates can access the BITSAT correction window 2021 from the official website by using their login-details credentials. Re-submit the form with zero error and be assured of receiving the BITSAT call letter.

BITSAT Exam Centre Allotment & Slot Booking 2021

After the correction window is closed, the Institute will allow reserving the test date and slot. The process will begin in the second week of April 2021.

BITSAT 2021 Admit Card Issuance

The admit card of BITSAT 2021 will be available online from the third week of April 2021, and candidates will have to log in to their registered accounts to download it. The BITSAT 2021 admit card or BITSAT hall ticket 2021 is a crucial document. A candidate who fails to bring the admit card of BITSAT 2021 on the day of the examination will not enter the examination hall.

Candidates can download the BITSAT 2021 hall tickets/admit cards only by visiting the official websites. Hall tickets are necessary for entry into the examination hall.

Guidelines mentioned on BITSAT hall ticket 2021

  • The candidate’s fingerprint and photograph will be taken at the time of BITSAT 2021. These will be matched at the time of admission at the particular BITS campus.
  • Candidates violating the exam centre rules will not be allowed to continue with the test and will automatically be disqualified.
  • Calculators, bags, mobile phones, electronic gadgets, etc., are not allowed in the test venue.

Candidates must carry a pen for signing the attendance sheet and for doing rough work.

BITSAT 2021 Preference Window (Open)

BITS Pilani has opened the window for students applying for admissions to enter the class 12 exam marks and the preferences for the degree programmes. As of now, candidates who applied for the BITSAT 2021 exams need to upload their class 12 marks and fill in the degree programmes' preferences via visiting the official website. All the potential candidates who have qualified for the BITSAT 2021 examinations and have made it to the merit list will be allotted seats based on the marks secured by the candidates and the choices entered concerning the programme.

BITSAT 2021 Direct Admission Link (Active Soon)

Along with the marks and preferences uploading window, BITS Pilani has also opened the application link for the respective board toppers' direct admissions. All the students who have topped the PCM and PCB categories in their respective boards can apply for direct admissions to the programmes offered. As per the released notification, the PCM stream's rank holder will be considered for admission to all integrated courses in BITS Pilani. BITSAT 2021 Result

The BITSAT result in 2021 will be announced in the form of a scorecard. To check BITSAT 2021 results, the candidates have to enter their login credentials. Candidates can see their overall score, sectional score, correct-incorrect answers, and total marks deducted for their every incorrect response. One must note that the BITSAT 2021 result will be accessible only via online mode using the required login-details of the exam.

Candidates appearing for the BITSAT 2021 exams are shown their score on the completion of the examination. Candidates can check the BITS score and also download the scorecard by visiting the official website of BITSAT.

How to download the BITSAT 2021 scorecard?

Step 1: Visit the website- www.bitsadmission.com.

Step 2: In the next step, candidates need to click on the 'Score Report' link.

Step 3: Now, enter the exam user id and password in the login window.

Step 4: Scorecard will appear, download, and take a print out.

BITSAT 2021 Final Cutoff

BITS Pilani will release the final BITSAT 2021 cutoff of all engineering campuses after the result. Candidates can check BITSAT cut off list for admission to BITS Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad campuses. BITSAT cutoff is the maximum and minimum score that candidates must have for admissions into the participating institutes. The admission cutoff of BITSAT 2021 differs as per the course and institute selected by the candidates.

BITSAT Counselling 2021

For candidates keen to participate in the Birla Institute of Technology Science Admission Test counselling 2021 will need to register for the process.
