The COMEDK (Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka) as the name signifies, is the state level entrance test. The Karnataka state conducts it for admission of candidates on 20,000 seats in 150 Engineering colleges, 25 Dental colleges, and 14 Medical Colleges. In a year, the COMEDK organises two separate exams for admission in the Undergraduate and the Postgraduate courses.

The COMEDK PGET 2018 Exam will be conducted for the Post Graduate medical courses - MD, MS, and MDS. Currently, there are around 19 Dental Colleges and 12 Medical colleges which are participating in the exam.

COMEDK PGET Exam 2018 Eligibility

  • The candidate should have completed his MBBS/ BDS from any college or institution recognised by the MCI or DCI.
  • The candidate should have a Permanent Registration with the MCI/DCI or with any other state medical council.
  • The candidate belonging to the General Category should have scored minimum aggregate marks of 50% in the MBBS/ BDS course. The Reserved Category candidate should have a score of 40% to become eligible for the exam.
  • The candidate should have done his internship until April 30th in the same year of his admission.

COMEDK PGET Exam 2018 Application Process

The Application form can be filled only through the online mode. It cannot be submitted in the offline mode. Candidates can avail the application form for the COMEDK PGET 2017 Exam from the 2nd week of November 207. Candidates should keep the print copy of the Application form for the future use.

How To Apply

  • The candidates should visit the official website of the COMEDK to fill the application form.
  • Here they should click on the option of COMEDK PGET option in the examination section.
  • Now they should enter their basic details, name, address, email id and mobile number. Then they will be provided with login credentials on their registered email ID.
  • With the help of their Login id and password now they can access the application form.
  • They should fill the application form with the requisite details. They should fill all the specified columns. They should enter their basic details, about their educational qualification and their address.
  • Along with the application, the candidates should also upload the scanned copies of their Photograph, Signature, Voter id and educational qualification certificates.
  • The sizes of the photograph and signature should not be more than 80KB. The dimensional size of the Photograph should be 35mm by 45mm and for that of the signature should be 35mm by 80mm.
  • The ID Proof size should not exceed 180 KB. As id proof, one’s Voter Id, PAN Card, Aadhar Card, DL, Passport or School or College id can be submitted.
  • The candidates should also pay the application fee. To pay their application fee, they should click on the option of the mode of application fee payment.
  • Before clicking on the submit button, the candidates should once again check their form and make corrections for errors, if any.
  • The candidates must take the print copy of the application form for any future reference.

Application Fee

  • The candidates should pay the application fee of ₹3000 for the exam. The application fee is non-refundable.
  • The candidates can use either mode, online mode or the offline to pay the application fee.
  • It can be paid online by Net Banking, Credit Card or Debit Card or through the Bank Challan drawn from any branch of the Axis Bank.

Other Details

The applicants can download the admit card online. It is known as TAT, i.e. online test admission ticket. Applicants can avail it in the second week of January 2018. It is important to carry one’s TAT at the center of the exam.

COMEDK PGET 2018 Exam: Result and Answer Key

The candidates can check their result online. They can also download their Scorecard and Rank card online by entering their login credentials. It will be published in the 1st week of February 2018. Just before the publication of the final result, the provisional answer key will be issued. The candidates can also challenge the answer key for which they will be charged ₹ 1000.
