CMAT Exam

Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is a national level management entrance exam which was conducted by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) till 2018. As per a recent announcement made by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, the exam will now be conducted by the newly formed National Testing Agency (NTA). However, the eligibility, pattern, and other details related to the exam will remain the same. All the AICTE-approved B-Schools accept the CMAT score for admission to their postgraduate management courses.

CMAT 2021 Latest Updates: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has invited online application for the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT 2021) on its official website. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the CMAT 2021 online at cmat.nta.nic.in on or before 22nd January 2021. However, the last date for submission of Examination fee (through SBI/HDFC Credit Card/ Debit Card/Net Banking & Paytm Payment Modes) is 23rd January 2021.

The NTA will conduct the computer-based CMAT 2021 examination from 22nd to 27th February 2021. The examination will be held in two shifts, i.e. from 9am to 12noon and from 3 to 6pm.

CMAT Exam 2021 Pattern & Syllabus

A total of 100 objective type questions are asked in the CMAT exam from 4 different sections/subjects. Here is the section-wise distribution of questions and marks:

The total duration of the CBT is 180 minutes (3 hours). There is a negative marking scheme in the exam where 1 mark is deducted for every incorrect answer.

CMAT 2021 Syllabus

As of now, NTA has not prescribed any syllabus for the exam. However, considering the statement that there will be no change in the syllabus and exam pattern, CMAT syllabus would comprise of different topics from Logical Reasoning, General Awareness, Language Comprehension, Data Interpretation, and Quantitative Aptitude.



CMAT Exam 2021 Eligibility

Nationality

Candidate should be an Indian citizen.

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University.
  • Final year students of bachelor’s degree course whose result will be declared before the commencement of the academic year 2021-22 are also eligible to apply for the exam.

CMAT Exam 2021 Application Process

CMAT 2021 will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The online registration process has begun from 23rd December 2020, while the last date to apply online is 22nd January 2021. Candidates are advised to register for the exam and complete the application process before the last date of the exam. The CMAT application process can be completed through the following steps:

How to Fill CMAT 2021 Application Form -

  • Go to the official website of NTA.
  • Scroll down and click on “Management” section.
  • You will be redirected to the management exams page.
  • Click on ‘Registration’ button under CMAT exam section.
  • Enter the details asked for to complete the registration process.
  • Now log-in with the registration Id and password to complete the application process.
  • Provide all the details asked for such as personal information and educational qualification. Upload scanned images of required documents and make fee payment.
  • Review the completed application form before final submission.
  • You can take a printout of the completed application form for future reference.

Registration Fee/application fee can be paid through both online or offline mode of payment. Online payment can be done through Net Banking/Credit Card/Debit Card, and offline payment can be done through e-challan at SBI bank branches.


Other Details

CMAT 2021 Admit Card

CMAT exam 2021 admit card will be released at the official NTA website in the month of February 2021. Candidates are required to login with their registered ID and password to download the admit card. It is mandatory to carry the admit card to the examination venue for appearing in the exam. Also, carry a valid ID proof to the examination centre.

CMAT Result 2021

The results of CMAT 2021 will be declared online by the National Testing Agency. Candidates will be able to check the result using their registered Id through the official NTA website. In order to obtain the CMAT 2021 result, one should need to pursue these steps:

  • Visit the official website of CMAT 2021.
  • Click on the relevant link and enter the communicating details which you get at the time of CMAT 2021 registrations (CMAT Exam Roll Number/Registration Number and Password).
  • Check the same and download it for further reference.
