CMAT Exam

CMAT (Common management admission test) is a national level entrance exam which is organised and conducted by the AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education). This is a kind of a combined admission test of management by all those colleges which are approved by the AICTE. On qualifying this exam’s, candidate becomes eligible for admission in management programmes of all reputed B-Schools (provided approved by the AICTE).

AICTE in view of the burgeoning difficulties of candidates to take multiple exam’s of management like – CAT, XAT, N-MAT, CMAT, SNAP etc., in a year, decided to hold one common entrance exams, CMAT. Since 2012, CMAT is conducted every year and lakhs of candidates undertake this exam.


Eligibility for CMAT Exam

Nationality – The candidate should be an Indian Citizen.

Educational Qualification- The candidate should be graduate to become eligible for this exam. He should have obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from any recognised university under the UGC.

Those candidates who are appearing in the final year of their graduation are also eligible to apply for the exams. 


CMAT Exam Admission Process

Candidates can apply for the CMAT Exams only through the online mode only. There is no provision for the offline mode of application form submission. The candidate is required to first of all visit the official website of the CMAT and get himself registered to make the payment of his application fee. From October 10th, 2016, the application form was available online. Candidates after paying their application fee become eligible to fill their application form by December 28th, 2016. Candidates are advised that after filling the application form they should take the print out of it for its future references or uses.

How To Apply

  • Visit the official website of the CMAT.
  • He must get himself registered first by entering details about his Name, Parents name, Address, Email id, Mobile number etc.
  • Once the candidate gets himself registered he is given the login id and password to access the Application form.
  • In the next step, the candidate should pay the Registration fee. He can pay the registration fee both through the online mode as well as the offline mode.  
  • The Application form should be filled with all the necessary details of the candidate including his personal details and educational background information. He should provide the valid email id and mobile number also.
  • The application form should be submitted along with the recent photographs and the signature. The size of the scanned copy of the photograph should be in the dimensions of 140 x 160. It should not exceed the 60 kb.  Similarly the signature should not exceed the 30 kb size and it should be within the dimensional size of 60 x90.
  • Give your preference for the centre of examination.
  • Before clicking of the final button of submission, candidate should for once check the application form thoroughly.

Admit Card Issuance of CMAT 2017, Exam

Candidate can download their admit card from the official website of the CMAT from January 16th, 2017. They can get it by entering details about their Registration id and password. They must keep the hard copy of their Admit Card along with themselves on the centre of examination. If the candidate fail to produce the admit card he will not be allowed to take up the exam. Along with the admit card candidate should also keep his photograph and the ID proof.

Note – Candidates belonging to the category of SC/ST are required to carry the copy of their reserved category. Similarly candidate who belongs to the disability category they should also keep with themselves the copy of their special category candidate.

Result Declaration of CMAT 2017, Exam

The result of the CMAT 2017, Exam will be declared on the February 10th, 2017. Candidates can check their results online by entering details about their name, date of birth and the application number. Candidates are also given the SMS alerts when the result of the exam is declared.
