AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences) is one of the premier medical institutes in India. It carries within its fold nine medical institutions located across different cities of India. It is an autonomous body formed under the Parliamentary Act of 1956. All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi conducts AIIMS MBBS Entrance Exam for admission in MBBS programme offered by all 9 AIIMS (New Delhi, Bhopal, Jodhpur, Rishikesh, Bhubaneswar, Guntur, Nagpur, Patna and Raipur). AIIMS MBBS Exam is an undergraduate national level medical entrance examination conducted through CBT (computer-based test) in several Indian cities for admission in 807 MBBS seats offered by AIIMS.

AIIMS MBBS 2019 Exam Latest Notification: The All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi has released the AIIMS MBBS 2019 exam date. The exam is scheduled to be held on 25th and 26th May 2019. The AIIMS MBBS 2018 exam was held on 26th and 27th May 2018, and the result was declared on 18th June 2018.

AIIMS MBBS Exam 2019 Pattern & Syllabus

The AIIMS MBBS 2019 exam will be a Computer Based Test (CBT). The question paper will consist of 200 Objective Type (Multiple Choice and Reason-Assertion) questions. The duration of exam will be 3 hours and 30 minutes. There is a provision for negative marking where each correct answer will be awarded 1 mark, and one-third mark will be deducted for an incorrect response.

AIIMS MBBS Exam 2019 Eligibility

Academic Qualification

  • Candidate should have passed class XII/Senior School Certificate Examination of CBSE or Intermediate Science (I.Sc.) or equivalent examination from a recognised Board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English subjects.
  • Candidate appearing in the above-mentioned qualifying examination (with PCB and English subjects) are also eligible to appear in the AIIMS exam provided they produce the proof of passing the qualifying exam at the time of admission.
  • Minimum aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English should be:

Age

Candidate should have attained or will attain 17 (seventeen) years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission (2019). This means the candidates born on or after 2nd January 2003 are NOT eligible for the AIIMS MBBS 2019 exam.

Nationality

Citizens of India, Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) and Non-Resident Indians (NRI), are eligible to appear for the exam.

AIIMS MBBS Exam 2019 Application Process

The application forms will be available on the official website from 05th February 2019 (tentative). The last date to apply for the AIIMS MBBS exam 2019 will be 05th March 2019 (till 05:00 PM).

How To Apply for AIIMS MBBS 2019

The following steps are required to be followed for filling the online application form –

  • Visit the official website for AIIMS 2019.
  • Click on the “Academic Courses” tab on the homepage.
  • Click on “MBBS” under “Undergraduate” column.
  • A pop-up window will appear, click on “Proceed” button.
  • Click on “Click Here” button under “New Registration” section.
  • Read the details of documents required for the online application, make sure you are ready with them and click on “Proceed” button.
  • Read the instructions carefully and again click on “Proceed
  • Complete the Registration process by providing the details asked for.
  • You will receive the user id and password on your registered email id.
  • Use the user id and password to log in and complete the remaining steps of the registration process such as documents upload, fee payment etc.
  • Take a print out of the confirmation page.

Other Details

AIIMS 2019 MBBS Admit Card

AIIMS, New Delhi, the exam conducting authority will issue the AIIMS admit card of candidates from 10th May 2019 (tentative) at its official website. Candidates can download it from the website and must carry it along with themselves on the day of the exam.

AIIMS MBBS Result 2019 Announcement

The result of the AIIMS MBBS 2019 Exam is expected to be announced on 18th June 2019 by the AIIMS – New Delhi. Candidates can see their results online on the official website of AIIMS by entering their user id and password. The minimum cut-off marks for different categories of candidates are as follows –

  • General – 50%
  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) – 45%
  • SC/ST – 40%
  • PWBD – as per the category they belong to

AIIMS MBBS Counselling for admission

After the declaration of the exams results, counselling will start. It will be done by the exam conducting authority, i.e. AIIMS, Delhi. Candidates are required to be physically present for their counselling on the given date. In counselling, candidates are given a choice for colleges as per their rank and merit.

On the official website of the AIIMS, candidates are required to register themselves by giving few details. After that, login id and password are generated. The details of the login id and password are also sent to the registered email id of the candidate.

Q. If any documents are required to be uploaded during the filling of the application form?

No there is no such requirement for submitting any documents while filling the application form. Only scanned images of photograph and signature are required.
