A student must hold citizenship of the World Bank member developing country, without any dual-citizenship.

Academic Background

  • An eligible applicant should have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent at least 3 years prior to the application deadline date.
  • Hold a 3 years of experience or more of recent development-related work.

Other Details

  • At the time of submitting the scholarship application, a student must be employed in full-time development-related work.
  • Not be a relative of the World Bank Group employee.

  • Maintaining a reasonable wide geographical distribution of awards
  • Giving scholarships to those applicants who, other things being equal, have limited access to financial resources for graduate studies abroad.
  • Unusual circumstances/hardships, when assessing the employment experience and other aspects of an application.

Terms & Conditions

  • No differences to the edibility criteria are accepted for Indian applicants; however, for international applicants, experience requirements are compulsory.
  • The aspirants should commit to returning to their motherland once they hold their Master’s degree.
