Common Admission Test (CAT) 2017 will be conducted by IIM Lucknow in the month of November/December. Some changes are likely to be expected in the exam.
The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow is all set to conduct the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2017 which is conducted for admission in MBA course offered by 20 IIMs and 150 other management institutes. The exam is scheduled to take place in the month of November/December this year.
IIM Lucknow conducted the exam in the year 2010 and now it is again given the same responsibility after a gap of 7 years. Prof. Neeraj Dwivedi has been appointed as the convener of CAT 2017. He is presently the Chairperson (Admissions) and a faculty of strategic management at IIM, Lucknow. Prof. Himanshu Rai, faculty of Human Resource Management IIML, was the convener of CAT 2010.
Approximately 2.50 lakh candidates are expected to register for this year’s entrance exam. Last year (2016) 2.32 lakh candidates had applied for the exam. Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Bangalore conducted the exam last year.
IIM Lucknow is likely to bring few changes in this year’s exam however the exam pattern will remain same. The CAT 2017 schedule will be announced by the end of July. Registration will be done till October and the exam will be conducted in the month of November or December, 2017.
