Mudra Institute of Communication, Ahmedabad (MICA) conducts the MICA Admission Test (MICAT) for admission to its PGDM-C and PGDM programs. It is an institute-level test conducted twice a year. The best of the two scores is used for shortlisting the candidates. The final selection is made based on the MICAT score, GE and PI, and CAT/ XAT/ GMAT score.

Syllabus for MICAT 2023

The section-wise syllabus for the MICAT 2023 exam is as follows:

Part 1 - Psychometric Test

Questions in the Psychometric test are to access the candidate’s personality and problem-solving ability. The section is subjective in nature.

Part 2 - Aptitude Section

Verbal Ability: Reading Comprehension, Vocabulary, Grammar, Antonyms and Synonyms, Verbal Ability.

Quantitative Ability: Algebra, Geometry, Arithmetic, Data Interpretation, Trigonometry, Numbers, Modern Math.

General Awareness: Static GK and Current Affairs.

Convergent and Divergent Thinking: Visual Reasoning, Sequence and Series, Data Sufficiency and Problem Solving, Word Association, Syllogism, Pie Charts, Venn Diagrams.

MICAT 2023 Eligibility

Candidates are required to meet the following eligibility conditions for appearing in the MICAT 2023 exam:

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree (any discipline) or equivalent qualification from a recognized University.
  • Those appearing in the final year examination of the bachelor’s degree in 2023 are also eligible to apply for the exam.
  • Must have a valid GMAT/ XAT/ CAT score.

MICAT 2023 Application Process

The MICAT 2023 application process for the 2nd session is active on the official website. Interested candidates can submit their application forms by 16th January 2023. Here is the detailed application process.

Steps for MICAT 2023 Application Process

  • Go to the official website https://www.mica.ac.in.
  • Click on the ‘Apply Online’ button.
  • Click on the ‘New Registration for all the Programmes’ button.
  • Complete the application form with details such as title, name, mobile number, and email address. Enter the captcha, accept the terms and conditions, and ‘Submit’ the details.
  • After the registration is complete, log in again as a registered user and complete the application form with the remaining details.
  • Provide academic details and work experience and upload scanned images of photographs, signatures, and other relevant documents.
  • Make the fee payment and keep the fee receipt safe for future reference.

The application fee for MICAT 2023 is to be submitted only through the online mode (using Debit/ Credit card/ net banking). Every candidate has to pay the same fee irrespective of the category they belong to.

MICAT 2023 admit card was issued only to those candidates who had completed their registration process successfully before the last date. Candidates can download the admit through the official website. The admit card has details about the exam, the personal information of the candidate, and exam day instructions.

MICAT 2023 Result

MICAT 2023 result for phase-I will be announced on 21st December 2022, and the phase-II result was announced on 17th February 2023. Candidates can check the result on the official website using their login credentials.
