Question 3: What is the composition of CAT question paper?

CAT question paper comprises three sections – Quantitative Ability (QA), Data Interpretation & Logical reasoning (DILR) and Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension (VARC).

No. Such candidates must indicate in their CAT application form about the requirement of the scribe. Candidates are required to arrange the scribe themselves.

Question 8: I belong to PwD category. Do I need to maile the PwD certificate to the exam conducting authority?

No. The scanned image of the PwD certificate must be uploaded while filling the CAT 2020 application form.

Question 9: My friend belongs to SC category. He has scored 47% in graduation. Can he apply for the exam?

Yes, candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD categories with 45% marks in graduation are eligible for the exam.

Question 10: What’s the age limit? If I’m 25 years old, can I take the test?

There is no prescribed age limit for the CAT Exam.

Question 11: Do colleges or institutions, other than IIMs, accept the CAT score?

Besides IIMs, IITs, IISc and top-ranked B-schools accept the CAT score for admission to various management programmes.

Question 12: What is the complete admission process of getting oneself into IIMs?

Every IIM college has a set of standards to select candidates for the second stage of selection. Students are selected on the basis of Written Test, Group Discussion, Personal Interviews and Work-experience.
