The Department of Higher and Technical Education, Government of Arunachal Pradesh announced the online applications for NEC Stipend of APST 2019 Scholarship program. The NEC Scholarship provides an opportunity for the aspirants to complete their Higher Professional Courses in the state. The course aims to assist and encourages Scheduled Tribe students by providing a helping hand in terms of financial support.

The scheme is meant for the contenders who want to get admitted in professional/technical education in law, M.Phil, Post-graduation or Ph.D. courses. Through NEC Stipend Scholarship, the government of Arunachal Pradesh wishes to improvise the living and educational conditions of North Eastern Region students. The assigning authorities will offer ₹ 1400 per month in the form of a stipend to the qualified scholars. Participants who meet the eligibility criteria can enroll themselves till 30 November 2018 for the scheme.

NEC Scholarship Stipend 2019, an affiliate program by the Directorate of Higher & Technical Education for the dreamers of Arunachal Pradesh. Under this scheme, ST students get a monthly stipend and book grant to complete their higher studies in the state. About the Program:

The fellowship is being offered by the Arunachal Pradesh Higher Education Department, Itanagar for the ambitious Scheduled Tribe students who want to complete their studies. The grant will be distributed in the form of an annual or monthly stipend.

 Eligibility Criteria:

The eligible applicant must be:

  • A permanent resident of Arunachal Pradesh and should belongs to ST category.
  • An entrant must be enrolled in a full-time course which is recognized by the state or central government of India.
  • Participants who are pursuing their studies under (UGC, DCI, AICTE, BCI, MCI, CCH, etc.) recognized college or institutions are eligible to apply.
  • An applicant should be enrolled in professional, technical, and non-technical courses.
  • It is mandatory for the participants to maintain at least 75% marks throughout the course.
  • Students who do not receive any other scholarship during the same tenure can apply.   
  • Candidate must have SBI Bank account.

Criteria for Selection:

The committee will evaluate the applications and select winners on the basis of their performance.

Rules and Regulations:

Female students who are unable to continue their education and present a valid explainable reason would be eligible to receive the scholarship.

  • Students who are not enrolled with another scholarship scheme are eligible to apply.
  • A previous year diploma students cannot apply for renewal of award for Bachelor’s degree.
