Once in a year the Sony World Photography Awards Open Competition 2019 provides a platform to the enthusiastic and hobbyists graphic arts lovers to display their skills. Once again the World Photography Organization has announced its 12th edition for the energetic and aspiring participants who have a dream to present their artistic skills on the international stage. Photographers of all ages and backgrounds are eligible to apply for the contest.

As per the contest rule, all the images are judged by the leading experts of the photography industry. The main ceremony will be held in London at Somerset House. Interested candidates are advised to fill the application form on or before 4th January 2019. For the contest, it is compulsory for the participants to submit their work in a high-resolution image which is suitable for printing.

Sony World Photography Awards Open Competition 2019 is designed to identify the dedicating students who are very passionate about their work. The annual summit is organized to support and cultivate the diverse photographic culture.

The top-ranked students will receive a cash price of USD 5,000 / Sony digital imaging equipment / Flights and accommodation to the awards ceremony in London / Included in the exhibition at Somerset House, London.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Photographers of all ages and backgrounds can apply for the Sony World Photography Awards Open Competition 2019.
  • It’s a global competition, so students are invited from all over the world to participate.

Steps to Apply:

  1. Click here to fill the online application form.
  2. Now, click on the ‘Register’ tab and generate your email Id and password.
  3. Again, Log in with your registered email id and password details.
  4. Enter all the required details to complete the application process.
  5. At last, submit your application and waiting for the results.  

Note: Applicants can participate individually or in a group of maximum 4 to 5 members.

Selection Procedure:

Winner will be elected on the basis of their photography skills.

Rules and Regulations:

  1. Applicants are required to offer 3 to 5 images to the organization which tells a complete story of the moment.
  2. The jury will decide the name of the winner and no one has a right to challenge the decision.
  3. Applicants must provide their original work.
  4. The decision of the organization will be considered as final.
  5. Entries containing any abusive, misleading, scandalous, vulgar content will not be eligible for the competition.
  6. The entry does not contain any of the following issues: copyrights, trademarks, contract rights, or any other intellectual property rights of any third person or entity.
  7. Winners name will be published online on the official website of the Sony World Photography contest.
  8. All Entrants should submit their work in a high-resolution image.
