Submissions are open for Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme for Assamese OBC Students

In order to join hands with the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, the Government of India took an initiative and launched Pre-Matric Scholarship for Assamese OBC Students 2019 for the auspicious scholars of class 1st to 10th. Under this fellowship program, students who belong to the minor community of Assam region can submit their entries. Through this course, financially deprived candidates facilitate with the much needed financial support which will help them to pursue advanced studies across India.

The objective to run this fellowship program is to improvising the low literacy rate and spread education amongst the socially weaker fellows. The Government of India takes a step further in the direction to uplift the conditions of OBC girl’s candidates and inspire them to continue their education. As per the officials, the closing date to submit an online application for the Pre-Matric Scholarship for OBC Students is 20 January 2019.

The scholarship aimed to prolong the medium of learning more attentive and help them to make their life smoother so they can’t face any troubles in life and easily pursue their studies.

What are the Criteria of Eligibility for the Scheme?

In order to apply for the Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme for OBC Students have to complete the basic set of eligibility criteria governed by the Government of India as follows:

A candidate must be enrolled in class 1st to class 10th from the state recognized school or board  

Annual Family Income

The annual family income is not more than ₹ 2.5 lakh

Additional Details

  • A candidate must belong to the OBC Category (Other Backward Classes) with the state domicile of Assam.
  • An applicant must follow the regular attendance of 60% in their previous year exam.

Process of Application

The process of application will be divided into two steps i.e. Registration Process and Login Account

Pre-Matric Scholarship 2019 Registration Process:

  1. Visit the authorized website of National Scholarship Portal.
  2. Click on New User? Register link and start filling the required details.
  3. Choose your state, name of the applicant, scholarship scheme type, DOB, Mobile Number, and Email Id.
  4. Fill the bank details of the applicants such as (Bank name, IFSC Code, and Account Number).
  5. Now, enter the One Time Password (OTP) which will be sent to your registered mobile number.

Login Process:

  1. Use the OTP to Login into your account.
  2. Generate your Application Id and Password for future reference.
  3. Fill all your details correctly without making any mistakes and false commitments.

Note: All the interested participants need to submit their correct details as no changes will be permitted once the form is submitted.

Supportive Terms and Conditions:

  • The scholarship scheme will be executed as per the administered procedure of the Government of Assam.
  • During this course, shortlisted applicants may not be allowed to take up an employment offer.
  • The bank account of the students must be linked with their Aadhaar Card.
  • As per the norms of the state, 30% of the scholarship seats are reserved for girl category.
  • During the tenure of this scheme, scholars are not allowed to take the beneficiaries of another fellowship program.
  • The program is available only for the 10 months of duration.
