Bharatiya Vidyapeeth University, Pune has been granted the status of deemed University by the UGC (University Grant Commission). As a deemed university it can award degrees to its students. The university is being accredited by the NAAC with Grade‘A’.

It conducts management entrance exams every year, which is popular by the name B-MAT. In other words, the Bharatiya Vidyapeeth University conducts B-MAT exams on yearly basis for intake of students in its various management programmes for the following institutes which are affiliated to it.

The BVU offers 2 years of management programmes for MBA, MBA (HR) with dual specialization in Marketing, Human Resource, IT, IB, Banking and Insurance, Hospitality Management and Event Retail Management. 


Eligibility for B-MAT Exam

Nationality – The candidate should be of Indian nationality.

Educational Qualification –

  • The candidate should be a graduate in any discipline from any recognised University of India. He should have obtained a 50% marks in aggregate.
  • However the candidates belonging to SC/ST Category are given a relaxation of marks. They should have scored 45% in aggregate in order to become eligible for the exams.
  • Those candidates who are in the final years of their graduation, they are also eligible to apply for the exam.

B-MAT Exam Admission Process

How To Apply

  • Candidates can apply for the exams both online as well as offline.

  • Those candidates who are wishing to apply online, they can visit the official website of the Bharatiya Vidyapeeth University i.e. https: //www.bharatividyapeethuniversity.net/.

  • They should get themselves registered first on the given official address. For registration they should have a valid email address. Upon their registration the candidates are given an access to the Application form.

  • The candidate must keep the scanned copy of his photograph and signature in size of less than 60KB, to upload it along with the Application form.

  • The candidate is required to create his profile while getting himself registered on the website. Then he is provided with unique Profile Password, which a candidate is required to save.

  • They should fill the Application form with their personal details about name, address, mobile number etc and also about their educational background.

  • Along with the Application form it is important to pay the Application fee. So provide the details of Demand Draft drawn in favour of the Institution. The address towards which it would be payable is - The Registrar, Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University' Payable at Pune. The fee can be paid from any of Nationalised Bank should be given.

  • It is advised that the candidate should keep the print copy of the Applied Application form as well as the copy of the receipt of the Application form. This is required when the candidate appear for the exam.

  • Those candidates who are not able to apply online they can apply Offline. They can obtain the Application Form by payment of Rs.200 in cash from the following address in Delhi - BVIMR A-4, Paschim Vihar, New-Delhi. Or candidates can also obtain the Application Form through DD. The address of DD should be – Registrar, Bharati Vidyapeeth University, Pune, payable at Pune. The DD should be made at any branch of the Nationalised banks or the Bharati Sahakari Bank.

Application Fee

Whether a candidate is applying Online OR Offline, he should pay the application fee of Rs.1500 along with the Application Form. On the Online mode the candidate should enter the details of the Demand Draft. Similarly, if he has applied offline then he should enclose his Application Form along with the DD drawn in favour of the specified address.


B-MAT Exam Pattern (Syllabus)

The B-MAT exam’s comprises of three stages. In the first stage the candidates are required to take up a written exam of 200 marks. The successful candidates in the written exams are called for a Group Discussion which is of 30 marks. Those who qualify thereafter are finally called for an interview, which is of 20 marks.
