The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is a national level exam conducted in two phases - Main and Advanced. Every year the National Testing Agency conducted the JEE Main exam for admission to various undergraduate engineering courses at IIITs (Indian Institutes of Information Technology), NITs (National Institutes of Technology) and other CFTIs (Centrally Funded Technical Institutes). While, on the other hand, the JEE Advanced exam is conducted by the seven zonal IITs (IIT Kharagpur, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Roorkee, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, and IIT Madras) on a rotational basis for those who qualify JEE Main. It is conducted for admission to IITs. For the year 2021, IIT Kharagpur has taken up the charges to conduct JEE advanced under their direction. Both the exams are conducted after 10+2. Candidates are required to apply online for the exams.

The application process of JEE Main 2021 includes registration, filling the application form, uploading scanned images, payment of application fee and taking the printout of the filled-in form. For JEE Main registration 2021, candidates must check the JEE Main eligibility criteria as prescribed by the conducting authority. JEE Main 2021 application form will be available twice a year for the January and April session. Candidates are advised to fill only a single JEE Main application form 2021 as submitting multiple forms will lead to rejection.

NTA JEE Main 2021 Latest Update - JEE Main 2021 application form for January session will be released by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in the month of December 2020 via online mode. Meanwhile, the exact dates of JEE Main 2021 registrations has not been confirmed yet by the officials. NTA JEE Main Application Process 2021

The National Testing Agency is the new exam conducting body of JEE Main, earlier it was performed under the umbrella of the Central Board of Secondary Education. Furthermore, NTA is conducting the JEE Main twice in a year. NTA JEE Main 2021 will be conducted in January and April. The January session exam is going to be performed in the month of February 2021, while the April session exam will be held in May 2021, due to the impact of COVID-19 in the 2020 academic session.

The NTA JEE Main online application form can be completed with the following steps:

  • Go to the official JEE Main website. You can also access the website from NTA’s portal > click on the ‘JEE Website & Registration’ link.
  • Click on the ‘Application Form for JEE (Main) January 2021’ button on the home-page.
  • Click on the ‘New Registration’ button. Make sure ‘January JEE (Main) 2021’ is selected in the ‘Application Form’ drop-down.
  • Read the instructions carefully, tick the check-box, and click on the ‘Click Here to PROCEED’ button at the bottom of the page.
  • Now fill the registration form with details like candidate’s name, father/mother name, identification type and number, address, mobile number, email id, etc.
  • Create a password, enter the security pin and click on the ‘SUBMIT’ button.
  • Your registration will be complete and a registration ID will appear on the screen.
  • Now again visit the candidate’s login page and enter the registration ID and password to log-in and complete the application form.
  • Enter details such as educational qualification, DoB, category, examination center preference, etc.
  • Click on ‘Submit’ after reviewing the details. Edit the application form if you find any mistake.
  • Upload the scanned images of your photo and signature.
  • Click on ‘FINAL UPLOAD
  • Make fee payment through any of the available options – net banking, credit/debit card, etc.
  • When the application form is submitted successfully, you are required to select the date of the examination. Follow the steps to complete the process.
  • Take a printout of the confirmation page.

Candidates are advised to keep the username and password safe until the admission process ends.

JEE Main 2021 Application Form Correction Window

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will also activate the correction window after the completion of the online form filling process. During this period candidates can edit/change/update their particulars in JEE Main 2021 January application form. Candidates have to enter their application number and password on the JEE Main login window.

  • Visit the official website of JEE Main 2021,
  • Navigate and hit the ‘tab’,
  • Enter your Application Number, Password, Security Pin (displayed on the screen),
  • Click the ‘Login’ button,
  • Click on ‘Manage Form Particulars Correction’ to edit and make changes,
  • Read all the instructions carefully,
  • Edit the required information and make the changes.
  • Pay an additional fee if required.

Note:

  1. The fee for application correction (wherever applicable) must be paid by the candidate concerned either through Credit/Debit Card/Net Banking/UPI and PAYTM.
  2. Please note that incomplete and incorrect JEE Main 2021 forms will be rejected. Thus, candidates are advised to use this facility wisely. In case of any discrepancy, students can correct the same before the last date.
