Applications are invited for IIT BHU Varanasi Department of Civil Engineering Senior Research Assistantship 2021. Candidates with B.Tech./ M.Tech. degree can apply for the fellowship. The Research Assistant is required to work in UPPWD sponsored consultancy projects related to Road Safety Audit and Black Spot Inspection of roads. The project requires extensive travelling for data collection related to road safety features. Selected candidates will be entitled to an assistantship of ₹ 35,000 per month. Eligibility
Age Limit
- The candidate should have attained 33 years of age as on 12th January 2021. The upper age limit for female candidates and those belonging to SC/ ST/ Physically Handicapped categories is 38 years.
Essential Qualification
- B.Tech. and M.Tech. degree in Civil Engineering.
Desirable Qualification
- M.Tech. in Transportation Engineering. Higher education like Ph.D. in Transportation/ Traffic Engineering will be preferred.
- Experience in Road Safety Audit.
Application Process
The applications for the fellowship must be sent via online mode via email.
Candidates are required to send the scanned images of the application, their CV, and required documents to [email protected]. The process for sending applications is as under:
- Write an application on plain paper and scan the application.
- Prepare a detailed CV. It must include the candidate’s name, correspondence and permanent address, mother’s and father’s name, email address, contact number, educational qualification (starting from high school). Scan the CV.
- Scan the self-attested copies of all mark-sheets and certificates.
- Attach all the scan images in email and send to the above-mentioned email address before the last date.
Candidates will be shortlisted for the interview process which will be conducted online. Final selection will be done based on the candidate’s performance in the interview.
