Know CAT 2018 Officially Released Eligibility Criteria and Exam Pattern

The official notification has been released by IIM Calcutta stating that the CAT exam 2018 will be conducted by them on 25th November 2018. The CAT i.e. Common Admission Test offer dream management courses to students under the 20 IIM schools and over 100 top reputed B schools. Every year around 2 lakh aspirants appear for the CAT and 20 IIMs have only 4000 seats to offer, altogether. The competition is really tough and students need to brace themselves hard to get their dream college.
The registration process for CAT exam 2018 is ready to begin from 8th August 2018 and continue till 19th September 2018. This article will help the students to get well versed with the legal eligibility, exam pattern and other important information related to the Common Admission Test 2018.

CAT Exam 2018 Eligibility Criteria
Here are the detailed eligibility criteria that aspirants seeking for management courses must make sure before filling in the application forms:
- The candidates must have their Graduation or its equivalent degree in hand from the recognized University or Institute.
- The aspirants who belong to general or OBC category must have at least 50% marks in their Bachelor’s degree and aspirants belonging to reserved categories must have 45% marks.
- The aspirants must have completed their graduation within the period of 3 years and those who are in their final year are also eligible to apply.
- There is no age limit prescribed for the aspirants by the officials.

Note – There is going to be a sectional duration in the exam which means that aspirants will be having 1 hour for each section. However, candidates can answer any question first within the particular section. Also, there is a slight change in the paper pattern, the candidates will get Subjective type questions as well. The number of such question is not certain. In such questions, the candidate has to type the answer in the blank space provided.
