Toto Music Award 2019 to Encourage Young Musicians and Filmmakers

Fifteenth Toto Music Award welcomes applications from youngsters across India in the field of music, photography, filmmaking, and writing.
An exciting aspect of the entire initiative is that people can present their music and art to TOTO FUNDS THE ART (TFA) in any genre and language. There are cash rewards for innovative concepts, ideas, and tunes. The objective is to push the individual into making a career of his/her skill. Moreover, a highly experienced jury with an open ear for new sounds and talent will make the selection.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Only citizens of India are applicable for this scholarship. (Overseas Citizen having Indian cards are not eligible)
  • The platform encourages young talent and thus the applicants born on or after January 1989 are eligible.
  • The music or film submitted must be original and the applicant must own the rights to it.
  • Submitted tracks and songs listed under the name of the artist or band.

Language and Genre Requirement

Language: English, Hindi, Kannada, Bengali, etc

Genre: rock, instrumental, jazz, hip-hop, heavy metal, folk and electronic

*Songs sung in any Indian language are welcome. For songs in languages other than Hindi or English, attach a translation for better understanding.

Jury

There are different recognized jury members every year. The final decision depends on the originality, talent as well as the potential of the artist/band.

Recording Quality

  • No need for professional studio recording, the team expects standard or basic recording quality.
  • Present music recordings differently to grab extra points.

Benefits under TOTO Award 2019

There are eight categories in 2019: -

  • Music - ₹ 60,000
  • 2 for Photography - ₹ 50,000 each
  • 2 for Creative Writing in English - ₹ 50,000
  • 1 for Creative Writing in Kannada -₹ 50,000
  • 2 for Short Film - ₹ 50,000 each

  • Visit the official website of TOTO music and go to Apply page.
  • Enter your email address as required and go ahead.
  • The application form will open up.
  • Read all the provided guidelines and conditions.
  • Fill up all the details.
  •  Submit music in the form of Soundcloud link.
  • Attach high-resolution photographs of the band/artist Upload media forms in the given format (artist name-image name)
  • Click on “I agree” to agree with the terms and conditions
  • Attach your label
  • Finally, submit the form.
