To encourage Schedule Tribe and Scheduled Caste Community aspirants, the Department of Social Justice and Special Assistance under Maharashtra government set an agenda and launched a program named as Savitribai Phule Scholarship for the auspicious girl students in the state. The scholarship aimed to protect and safeguard the rights of weaker sections of the society.

The outline is designed to build economic interest and motivate backward class for education. Under the Savitribai Phule Pre-Matric Merit Scholarship 2020, students who are currently enrolled in between class 5th to class 10th are eligible to submit the application. To optimize the thought of girl power the government of Maharashtra participates and come forward to offer a helping hand in the form of financial assistance worth of ₹ 100 per month.

Eligibility Criteria for Savitribai Phule Scholarship 2020:

  1. The scheme is only available for a girl candidate.
  2. An applicant must be belonging to VJNT, SC or SBC category.
  3. Must be a student of class 5th to 10th in government recognized schools.

Note: For renewal of the scheme, a girl student must be cleared her previous year examination in order to continue and avail the benefits of the scheme.

Procedure of Application

Offline Mode

For the concern scholarship, all the eligible students can enroll their entry only through their representing school. All the interested candidates can directly contact their school Head-Master or Principal. After this, the Head-Master will submit a list of eligible candidates and send it to the Assistant of Commissioner of Social Welfare of their respective district for sanction of Pre-Matric Merit Scholarship 2020.

  • Now, click on “Pre Matric Scholarship” to apply for the Savitribai Phule Scheme.
  • Register your entry and fill all the important information.
  • Once it is done, cross check the application and upload all the revlevent documents.
