ICAI Commerce Wizard 2020 Scholarship Contest for Young Minds of Commerce Stream

ICAI Commerce Wizard 2020 is designed to encourage and educate the auspicious students of India to achieve brilliance in accounting. The competition is determined to check and measure the ability of commerce stream students and help them to understand the basic concepts of the subject. The Commerce Talent Search Test is organized by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) group. This test is open for appearing students of Class 9th to 12th and BBA/B.Com./BMS or other Allied subjects examination.

In order to support and enhance the ability of students ICAI Commerce Wizard 2020 come frontward and conducts a test which will act as a tool to identify the young talent in the stream of commerce. The registration for the examination has been started and as per the officials, last date to register the final entry will be on or before 25th December 2019.

Highlights of the Coures:

  • The scholarship exam will be conducted in two different level i.e. Level 1 will be an online test and Level 2 will be a Pen & Paper test.
  • The Commerce Talent Search Test will be open for appearing students of class 9th to 12th and BBA/B.Com./BMS or other Allied subjects.
  • Final date to fill applications will be on 25th December 2019.

For Level-I Test Winners
  • In Level-I all the participants will get a Participation Certificate.

For Level-II Test Winners
  • 1st Rank holder will receive a grant of ₹ 1,00,000 for Class 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th and BBA/B.Com./BMS or other Allied subjects separately. If in case multiple winners will be announced by the organizers, then the prize money will be shared by them. If in case more than 50 joint rank holders win, then all the winners will be awarded a prize of ₹ 2,000 each. 
  • 2nd Rank holder will be awarded ₹ 50,000.

Other Consolation Prizes
  • Top 500 consolation prizes worth of ₹ 500 will be distributed amongst winners.
  • Each winner of Level-II exam will also receive a Participation Certificate.

Who Can Apply?

Eligibility Criteria for ICAI Commerce Wizard 2019-20 are as follows:

  • Must be a native student of India.
  • Aspirants who are enrolled in Class 9th to 12th & B.Com./BMS/ BBA/Allied Subjects Examination can register as an applicant.
  • Students from open distance learning schools are also eligible to apply.
  • Meritorious wards of Railway and Military Personnel are eligible for the scheme.

Steps to Fill ICAI Commerce Wizard Application Form –

Interested candidates can apply online for ICAI Commerce Wizard by simply follow these steps:

Step 1: Go to the official Registration link of ICAI Commerce Wizard 2019-20.

Step 2: Fill the application form including educational and contact details.

Step 3: Now, click on ‘Pay Now’ tab and make payment through Credit Card/ Debit Card or Net Banking.

Step 4: At last, submit your application.

Note: Applicants who will apply online after 25th December 2019 have to pay ₹ 150 as a registration fee.

Exam Pattern and Syllabus:

Exam pattern -

  1. The Commerce Talent Search Test will be conducted in English language only.
  2. The test paper will contain only objective type questions which carry 75 minutes to complete it.
  3. 100 multiple choice questions will be asked for the examination.
  4. There are 0.25 negative marking schemes for every wrong answer.

Subjects for Level- 1 and Level- 2 tests:

Class IX: Social Studies (Economics), Mathematics, Business Awareness & Aptitude.

Class X: Social Studies (Economics), Mathematics, Business Awareness & Aptitude.

Class XI: Business Studies, Accountancy, Economics & Aptitude IV.

Class XII: Business Studies, Accountancy, Economics & Aptitude.

BBA/B.Com./BMS/Aliied Subjects Examination: Business Studies, Accountancy, Economics/ Financial Studies & Aptitude.

Norms for ICAI Commerce Wizard:

  • 75 meritorious aspirants will be selected for the scholarship based on their merit rank.
  • Out of 75 scholars, 50 scholarships will be awarded to Military and Paramilitary forces while 25 will be awarded to Railway employees.
  • Wards of retired personnel can also avail the benefits of this scholarship.
  • The fellowship will be given to the wards of Indian Army, Indian Navy, Indian Air Force, Para Military forces and Railway employees.
  • Only one child family can receive ICAI Commerce Wizard 2020 Scholarship.
