JEECE Exam

Jharkhand Engineering Entrance Competitive Examination (JEECE) is a state-level engineering entrance exam conducted by the Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Exam Board (JCECEB). The exam offers admission to engineering programmes offered by various engineering colleges in the state. Candidates need to qualify the JEECE for seeking a seat in the engineering courses. It must be noted that this exam is only for B.Tech. courses in Agriculture and Dairy Technology. Admission to other B.Tech Programmes is done through JEE Main score. JEECE 2020 Latest Update - The JEECE 2020 exam will be tentatively conducted in the third week of May 2020. The exam conducting authority has not released the official notification yet.

The exam has a provision of negative marking and 1/4th of the marks awarded to the question will be deducted for the wrong response. The medium of question paper will be both English and Hindi languages.


JEECE 2020 Syllabus

Physics - Electrostatics, Current Electricity, Electromagnetic Induction & Alternating Current, Magnetic Effect of Current & Magnetism, Electromagnetic Waves, Dual Nature of Matter, Optics, Atom & Nuclei, Communication Systems, Electronic Devices.

Chemistry - Solutions, Solid State, Electrochemistry, Chemical Kinetics, General Principles and Processes of Isolation of Elements, Surface Chemistry, Coordination Compounds, Haloalkanes and Haloarenes, Aldehydes, Ketones and Carboxylic Acids, Alcohols, Phenols and Ethers, "p"-Block Elements, "d" and "f" Block Elements, Organic compounds containing Nitrogen, Polymers, Biomolecules, Chemistry in Everyday Life.

Mathematics - Relations and Functions, Calculus, Algebra, Linear Programming, Probability, Vectors, and Three-Dimensional Geometry.



JEECE Exam 2020 Eligibility

Candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria before applying for the exam:

Nationality

Candidate must be an Indian citizen.

Domicile

Candidates must have a domicile of Jharkhand state.

Age Limit

The minimum age limit is 17 years and the maximum is 22 years.

Educational Qualification

Candidate should have passed class 12th or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects from a recognised board. Those appearing in the final examination of class 12th are also eligible for the exam.

The minimum marks required in the qualifying exam should be 45% for General category candidates and 40% for reserved category candidates.


JEECE Exam 2020 Application Process

Candidates who are interested in taking admission in B.Tech. programmes in Jharkhand state are required to apply for the JEECE 2020 exam. The application process will tentatively begin in the third week of April 2020. Candidates must submit their applications before the last date. The application process is online and candidates must submit the form only through the official website.

Steps to fill the JEECE 2020 Application Form

  • Visit the JEECE official website.
  • Click on the link to apply for the ‘JEECE 2020 Exam’.
  • Complete the registration process and you will receive a registration/ application number.
  • Use the registration number and password to log-in and complete the application process.
  • Provide personal, educational, contact details, exam center choices, etc.
  • Upload the scanned images of photograph, signature, left thumb impression, etc. as per the specifications. Images should be in JPEG format. The file size must be as:
    • 100 KB for Photograph
    • 50 KB for Signature
    • 50 KB for Left-Thumb Impression
  • Make fee payment and submit the form.
  • Once the form is submitted successfully, take a print.

Application Fee

The application fee is to be paid as per the category. Here are the details:

  • For General/ BC-1/BC-2 category - ₹ 900/-
  • For SC/ST/ Female category - ₹ 450/-

The application fee can be paid through credit card/ debit card/ net banking. Candidates must note that the application fee is non-refundable.

JEECE 2020 Exam Centers

Candidates are provided with a chance to choose two exam centers and fill their choices in the application form. The centers at which the exam will be conducted are:

JEECE 2020 Admit Card

The JEECE 2020 admit card will be released in the second week of April 2020 at the official website. Candidates can download the admit card using their login details.

  • Visit the official website.
  • Click on the link for JEECE 2020 admit card.
  • Enter your login details and submit.
  • The admit card will appear on the screen.
  • Check all the details and download the admit card. Take a print. If you find any discrepancies in the admit card details, report the same to the exam conducting authority.

Admit card is required to make entry to the examination hall. Candidates must carry a photo ID proof along with the admit card to the examination center. Keep the admit card safe till the admission process completes.

JEECE 2020 Answer Key

The board will also release the JEECE answer key at the official website. Candidates can check the same at the official website within 15-20 days of the exam. They can also submit representations against the answer key if they found any answer wrong. For this, they must log-in to their respective profiles and select the answer for submitting objections. Pay the required fee and submit your representation. The updates answer key will be released along with the result.

JEECE 2020 Result

The JEECE result 2020 will be announced by the exam conducting authority in the fourth week of June 2020. Candidates can download the result in the form of a scorecard from their profiles. Here are the steps to be followed:

  • Click on the JEECE 2020 result link.
  • Enter your roll number and other details.
  • Search the result.
  • The result will appear on the screen.
  • Download and take a print.

JEECE 2020 Counselling

After the result declaration, the counselling process is carried out as per the merit list prepared by the board for admission. The JEECE 2020 counselling process will tentatively begin in the first week of July 2020. Candidates are required to pay the counselling fee to participate in the counselling process. Seats are allotted as per the merit ranks. Candidates must report at the allotted college along with their original documents (for document verification) on the date and time mentioned in the allotment letter. Candidates must attend the counselling personally and no other person can be authorised to attend the counselling on the student’s behalf.
