GUJCET Exam

Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET), is a state-level examination for admission to Engineering/ Technology/ Pharmacy courses in government, aided, and self-financed engineering institutes in Gujarat. The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) conducts the GUJCET entrance exam in offline mode. The exam comprises of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). GUJCET 2020 Exam Latest Update - The GUJCET 2019 result was released on 9th May 2019. The advertisement for the GUJCET 2020 exam will be released in December 2019. The exam will be tentatively conducted in the month of the last week of April 2019.

Marking Scheme - Each question will be of 1 mark and 0.25 marks will be deducted for every incorrect response.

GUJCET 2020 Syllabus

There is no specified syllabus for the exam. Questions are asked from the curriculum of class XI and class XII. Candidates can prepare for the exam with JEE Main competitive books. Some of the good books for GUJCET exam are:

GUJCET Exam 2020 Eligibility

The eligibility conditions need to be fulfilled in order to appear for the GUJCET exam. Candidates must check the respective eligibility criteria for the courses they are interested in before applying for the exam.

Nationality

Candidates must be of Indian nationality.

State Eligibility

Candidates must be a bonafide resident of Gujarat. If the candidate has a domicile of Gujarat and is residing in some other place out of the state, he/she is eligible for the exam.

For B.Tech. Programme

Academic Qualification

Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent level education from the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board or any other recognised board with minimum 45% marks (40% marks for reserved category).

Candidates appearing in the final examination of class 12th are also eligible for the exam.

For B.Pharma Programme

Academic Qualification

Candidates should have passed 10+2 (or equivalent) level of education from the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board/ CBSE/ CISCE/ NIOS/ International School Board. Candidates appearing in the final year of the qualifying exam are also eligible to fill the application form. Minimum marks required in the qualifying exam are 45% (40% for the reserved category candidates).


GUJCET Exam 2020 Application Process

The GUJCET 2020 application process will begin from the last week of January 2020 and will continue until the third week of February 2020. Candidates can also submit the application form with a late fee in the last week of February 2020. The application process will be online and candidates must apply within the specified time. Do check the eligibility conditions before moving ahead with the application process.

Steps to apply for the GUJCET 2020 Exam

  • Visit the official website - https://gujcet.gseb.org/.
  • Click on the link for the GUJCET application form.
  • Enter the details to complete the registration process.
  • After registration, you ill receive the log-in details.
  • Now again visit the candidates’ log-in section and enter the log-in details to access the application form.
  • Enter your personal details, academic details, and other details to complete the application form.
  • Upload scanned images of your photograph and signature.
  • After checking all the details in the application form, move ahead with the application fee payment. Application fee for all categories is the same. Candidates are required to pay ₹ 300 as the application fee.
  • On successful fee payment, submit the form.
  • The application number will generate on submission of the form, not it down for future references.

Other Details

GUJCET Admit Card 2020

The GUJCET admit card 2020 will be released in the third week of April 2020. Candidates can download the admit card only through the official website using their log-in ID and password. The admit card will appear on the screen. Download it and take a print. Carry the admit card to the examination hall for making entry to the hall. Keep the admit card safe till the admission process gets over.

GUJCET Answer Key 2020

After the exam is over, the answer key is released within a week of the exam. The answer key first released is a provisional one. Candidates are given an opportunity (for two or three days) to raise objections against it. After considering the objections, the updated (final) answer key is released at the official website. The merit list/ result is declared on the basis of the final answer key. No objections against the final key will be considered.

GUJCET Result 2020

The GUJCET 2020 result will be declared through online mode in the second week of May 2020. Candidates will be able to access the result at the official website of the exam conducting authority. The result will comprise of marks and percentile score of the candidate. The Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) will prepare the merit list for the counselling process.

GUJCET Counselling 2020

ACPC will begin the counselling registration in the third week of May and it will continue till the first week of June 2020. The seats are allotted on the basis of the merit list. Candidates need to fill the choices and lock them during the registration process. The counselling process/ seat allotment will begin in the second week of June and will continue until the first week of July 2020. Seats are allotted on the basis of merit list and choice filled by the candidates during registration. Candidates need to freeze the allotted seat and report at the allotted college to confirm the admission.
