GATE Exam 2018: Steps To Change The Exam City

Candidates who want to change the GATE examination city choices can do so from 13 November to 17 November 2017.

9 November 2017: The Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IIT-G), GATE conducting authority for 2018, has released an official notification for changes to be made in the examination city. Candidates who want to change the examination city as selected by them at the time of GATE exam registration can do so. Log-in to GOAPS (GATE Online Application Processing System) portal and make changes in the exam city. The changes can be made from 13 to 17 November 2017.

The official notification states; “Examination City Change: Candidates who wish to change the choices of examination city given in GATE 2018 application can do this by logging into GOAPS during 13-17 November, 2017. Applicant must pay ₹ 400 for this change.”

Steps to make changes in GATE 2018 exam city

  • Go to appsgate.iitg.ac.in (GOAPS Portal)
  • Enter enrollment number/email address, password and captcha to log in.
  • Make changes in the exam city and submit.

Applicants who haven’t verified their email address and mobile number at the time of GATE registration should do this at the earliest by signing in to the GOAPS portal.
