GATE Syllabus 2020 - Detailed Subject-Wise PDFs for All Subjects

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi has released the GATE 2020 official notification and here comes the GATE Syllabus 2020. The examination is scheduled to be held on 1st, 2nd, 8th, and 9th February 2020. The examination will be held for 25 subjects. Here in the article, we will discuss the syllabus for each subject.

GATE 2020 Exam Pattern

All the papers will comprise of 65 questions carrying a total of 100 marks. 10 questions carrying a total of 15 marks will be asked from General Aptitude (GA). There is a little difference in the exam pattern of papers; here are the details:

 

The papers AE, AG, BM, BT, CE, CH, CS, EC, EE, IN, ME, MN, MT, PE, PI, TF, and XE, comprises of the following sections:

General Aptitude Syllabus (Common for All)

Verbal Ability: English grammar, verbal analogies, sentence completion, instructions, word groups, critical reasoning and verbal deduction.

Numerical Ability: Numerical computation, numerical reasoning, numerical estimation, and data interpretation.
