The Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) conducts the Common Admission Test (CAT) for admission to B.Tech and PG courses offered by the university. Other than CAT, the university also conducted Lateral Entry Test (LET) and Department Admission Test (DAT) for admission to different courses. CUSAT 2021 Latest Update - The university has postponed the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2021 in view of the COVID-19 situation in the country. The exam will now be held from 16th to 18th July 2021. CUSAT 2021 Admit Card has been released on 2nd July 2021.

Candidates must make sure that they meet the eligibility conditions to avoid the cancellation of candidature at any stage.

Age Limit

There is no specific age limit for the entrance exam.

Educational Qualification

B.Tech in Marine Engineering

  • Must have secured minimum 60% aggregate marks in class 12th or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects from Kerala Board or any other recognised board.
  • Must have studied Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English in the qualifying exam.
  • Obtained minimum 50% marks in English in class 10th or 12th.
  • Candidates need to submit a physical fitness and eye fitness certificate which must be obtained from Medical Examiners and approved by DG Shipping.

B.Tech in Naval Architecture and Ship Building

  • Must have scored 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in class 12th or equivalent exam from Kerala Board or other recognised board.
  • Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics are compulsory subjects along with other subjects.
  • Must have scored 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics when taken together.
  • Must have obtained 50% in Mathematics.

B.Tech in Instrumentation and Technology

  • Must have obtained 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, taken together.
  • Obtained 55% in Mathematics.

B.Tech in Polymer Science and Engineering

  • Passed class 12th with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics with 50% aggregate marks from a recognised board.
  • Secured 50% in Mathematics.

CUSAT CAT 2021 Application Process

The application form for CUSAT CAT was released online at the official website. The application forms for the year 2021 were released on 10th March and were available till 31st March. Candidates were allowed to submit the applications by 10th May with a fine. Here is the process for filling the application form.

CUSAT 2021 Application Process

  • Visit the official website at and click on the new registration link.
  • Enter the details and submit the same. An activation link will be sent to your email ID. Click the link to activate your account.
  • Now, log in using your credentials and fill the application form. Proceed to the document upload process.
  • Upload the scanned image of the photograph and signature.
  • Select the course you have opted for.
  • Make the fee payment as per the category you belong to.
  • Select the exam centres.
  • Have a final preview of the application form and check if all information is correct.
  • Submit the application form, the confirmation page will appear on the screen, take a print of the same.

CUSAT 2021 Admit Card

The CUSAT CAT 2021 admit card has been released online on 2nd July 2021. Candidates can download the same using the username and password. Check all the details in the admit card and report any discrepancies to the exam conducting authority. Download the admit card and take a clear printout. It is a mandatory document that needs to be carried to the examination hall. 

CUSAT CAT 2021 Result

CUSAT CAT 2021 result will be announced online on the official website. Candidates can log in using their credentials and their result. The result will contain details including the score obtained and the rank of the candidate. Qualified candidates will be shortlisted for the counselling process.

CUSAT 2021 Counselling

CUSAT 2021 counselling will be conducted for those whose names are mentioned in the rank list. Such candidates are first required to register for the counselling process online and fill in their choices of courses and colleges. Based on this information, seat allotment will be done.
