NOTE: Admission is provided on the basis of marks scored in any of the tests – IELTS/TOEFL/GMAT/JNTUHELT examination along with the existing rules of the JNTUH. Moreover, the ICCR sponsored foreign students are considered eligible for direct admission.

Admission process at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTUH)
Admission to regular B.Tech programmes in the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University is made on the basis of the rank secured in the Engineering, Agriculture & Medicine Common Entrance Test (EAMCET). This test is conducted by a Telangana State Council of Higher Education, Hyderabad. Also, three diploma holders, with the Engineering Common Entrance Test (ECET) ranking are considered eligible for admission into B.Tech Programmes.
Admission to regular M.Tech./M.Pharmacy/MCA and MBA programmes in constituent colleges/Units of the University are made on the basis of the GATE or GPAT/PGECET/ICET ranking conducted by Telangana State Council of Higher Education, Hyderabad.
On the other hand, admission to M.Tech/M.Pharmacy/MCA Programmes is classified into the following categories:
- Regular Stream: Gate qualified candidates will be awarded the AICTE Scholarship/Stipend.
- Sponsored Category: Candidates must have minimum 2 years of work experience and he/she also must be sponsored by the organization where he/she is employed currently.
- Non-Sponsored (Self Supporting): GATE and PGECET qualified candidates under non-sponsored category will be given preference but will not be considered eligible for Scholarship.
Candidates seeking admission to part-time M.Tech./ M.Sc./MBA/PGDNT programmes will be selected on the basis of their performance in the Entrance Examination conducted by JNT University, Hyderabad. Moreover, candidates working on a regular service basis in and around Hyderabad with a minimum experience of one year after acquiring the prescribed qualification will be only considered eligible to apply.
Admission to External Ph.D./M.Phil/MS Research Programmes will be made on the basis of Entrance Examination and Interview organized by JNTUH, Hyderabad. While NET/SLET qualified candidates do not have to seat for the written test, they need to go through the interview round.
Candidates seeking admission to various PG Diploma Programmes will be selected on the basis of the performance in the entrance test conducted by JNT University, Hyderabad. The duration of the test will be one hour comprising of 60 Objective type questions. Candidates who secure equal marks in the entrance test will be shortlisted for ranking and at the time of admission, their age will be taken into consideration. Older candidates will be given priority.
