SSC JHT Exam 2019 Latest Update - The Staff Selection Commission has started the JHT 2019 application process on 27th August 2019. The last date for submitting the applications is 26th September 2019. The CBT (Paper-I) is scheduled to be conducted on 26th November 2019.

SSC JHT exam 2019 Pattern & Syllabus

Prior to taking the exam, it is important for candidates to familiarize themselves with SSC JHT 2019 Syllabus. Here are the details:

  • The SSC JHT 2019 exam will comprise two papers—Paper I and Paper II of 200 marks each.
  • In Paper I, there will be 100 questions each from General English and General Hindi.
  • There will be negative marking in the exam. ¼ mark will be deducted for every wrong answer as a penalty. So, candidates are advised not to use their guesses.
  • Paper-II will be the conventional type. That means there will descriptive type questions.
  • The duration of each paper will be two hours.
  • Candidates should bear in mind that Paper-II will be assessed only for those candidates who get minimum qualifying marks in Paper I.

Paper I (Part I—General Hindi)

It includes Knowledge of Hindi, Reading and Writing Skills in Hindi, Hindi Antonyms, Hindi Proverbs, Hindi Paragraphs, Hindi Synonyms and Grammatical Topics—Samas, Sandhi, Kriya, Visheshan etc.

Paper I (Part II—General English)

It includes Reading and Writing capabilities in English, Knowledge of English, Phrases and Idioms, Correct use of words, Sentence Completion, Antonyms, Sentence Structure, Synonyms, Grammar, Vocabulary, Spellings, Preposition, Verbs, Articles, Error Recognition and Fill in the Blanks

Paper II (Translation and Essay)

It includes Reading and Writing capability in both languages, Essay in Hindi, Essay in English, Paragraph Translation from English to Hindi and Paragraph Translation from Hindi to English

SSC JHT exam 2019 Eligibility

In order to be eligible for the SSC JHT exam 2019, candidates need to fulfil the following criteria:

  • In terms of nationality, candidates should be citizens of India. Those who have migrated to India from Tibet, Bhutan or Nepal before 1st January 1962 with an intention to settle here on a permanent basis, are also eligible.
  • With regard to age limit, candidates should not be above 30 years of age as calculated on 01.01.2019. There will be relaxation in age for the reserved categories in accordance with the rules and norms.
  • In terms of educational qualification, candidates should have obtained a Bachelor’s/Master degree from any recognized college or university.

SSC JHT exam 2019 Application Process

Candidates are advised to fill SSC Junior Hindi Translator 2019 Application form either on or before the last date. Once the last date of application has lapsed, their candidature will not be accepted. The application process will continue from 27th August to 26th September 2019. The steps that they need to follow include the following:

  • Go through the SSC JHT Notification 2019 carefully
  • Visit the SSC JHT website and click on the ‘Apply’ button.
  • Select the ‘JHT’ tab.
  • Click on the ‘Apply’ link.
  • You will be redirected to ‘Login’ section.
  • Click on ‘New User? Register Now’ link.
  • Register yourself by providing the relevant information—your name, date of birth, father’s name, 10th and 12th classes roll numbers etc.
  • Having done this, follow the instructions to apply online.
  • Fill the application form with all the pieces of information and attach photocopies of the required documents.
  • Pay fee online and submit your application form.
  • Finally, take a printout of your application form for further use.

SSC JHT 2019 Application Fee

  • General category male candidates need to pay ₹ 100/- only. They can pay the fees through SBI Net banking/ SBI Challan or debit/credit cards of any bank.
  • Women candidates and candidates who belong to reserved categories — SC/ST/ Ex-servicemen/ candidates with the disability are exempted from paying the fees.
  • Candidates should note that once the application fee is paid, it will not be refunded under any circumstances.

Other Details

SSC JHT Exam Centres

SSC JHT Exam 2019 will be conducted at 30 centres all over India. Candidates need to be very careful while selecting the exam centre. The exam centres will be allotted to them on the basis of seat availability and also on a first come first serve basis. Once the exam centres have been allotted, they will not be changed on any request.

SSC JHT Paper I Admit Card 2019

SSC JHT Paper I admit card will be released 3 to 7 days before the exam. The exam will be held on 26th November 2019. Candidates need to consider the following steps for downloading the admit card:

  • Visit the official website - ssc.nic.in.
  • Choose the Admit Card link
  • A new window will crop up
  • At once, choose your SSC Region
  • Click on the option ‘Download Admit Card’
  • Now, click on the option ‘SSC Junior Hindi Translator Admit card 2019’
  • Enter your registration number and date of birth
  • Press the button ‘Submit’
  • Finally, download it and take a printout for further reference.

SSC JHT Result 2019

The result of SSC JHT 2019 examination (Paper-I) will be declared in January 2020. The final result will be prepared on the basis of performance of candidates in both written examinations— Paper-I and Paper-II and candidates will be shortlisted accordingly. The final answer key is available at the official website. However, the result is not available yet. Candidates will be able to check their results online at the official website— ssc.nic.in.
