JEE Main 2018 offline exam date is announced by the Central Board of Secondary Education. The exam date for online mode exam is yet to be released.

25 October 2017Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is all set to conduct the JEET Main or JEE Main 2018 offline exam on 8 April 2018. As per the official notification; “The examination of JEE (Main) - 2018 in pen-paper based (offline) mode will be conducted on 08th April 2018.” The exam is also conducted online but the dates for online mode JEE Main are yet to be announced.

CBSE is the official exam conducting authority for JEE Main (Joint Entrance Examination - Main). The exam is conducted for admission into NITs, IITs, CFTIs, SFIs, state engineering colleges and other institutions in participating states.

Last year, JEE Main 2017 offline test was conducted on 2 April (Sunday) and online test was conducted on and 9 April, 2017. In the year 2017, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, has made few changes in the JEE Mains pattern. Check them out:

No weightage to class 12th marks for calculating All India Rank (AIR) in JEE Main.

For getting admission into NITs, IITs, IIITs, CFTIs, candidates should have a score of minimum 75%marks (65% for SC/ST) in class 12th or be in the top 20 percentile of class 12th board.

Aadhaar card number is mandatory for filling the application form. Candidates from J & K, Meghalaya and Assam are not under this provision. They can use their ration card number, passport number, bank account number or any other valid Govt. ID proof number for examination centre in these states only.
