The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) has given the responsibility of conducting the All India Entrance Examination for Admission (AIEEA) to various undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) courses offered by the leading agricultural universities to the National Testing Agency (NTA). AIEEA is the qualifying exam to pursue courses like Horticulture, Forestry, Food Nutrition and Dietetics, Dairy Technology, Agricultural Engineering, Fisheries, Agriculture, Community Science (also known as Home Science), Sericulture and Food Technology. ICAR administers the exam once a year. Candidates looking to pursue Dairy Technology programme must appear in ICAR AIEEA 2020.

The National Talent Scholarship will be given to candidates on the basis of their All India Rank in the merit list. And ICAR – JRF will be awarded to PG merit holders.

ICAR 2020  Latest Updates – Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board has released a postponed notification regarding the rescheduling dates of the ICAR NET 2019 examination. ASRB has postponed the exam dates of ICAR NET 2019 from December 2019 to January 2020 due to administrative reasons. Visit official website to check the notification.

What is Dairy Technology?

A part of the food technology, Dairy Technology is a course that focuses on dairy products and involves processing of milk to produce high-quality products from it. Not only does it give a complete idea of milk processing but students pursuing Dairy Technology course would also understand the manufacturing process for its by-products, usage of dairy processing equipment, keep a check on quality and analyse production units like ice cream and dairy plants.

Agriculture Scientist Recruitment Board has rescheduling the dates of ICAR NET 2019 examination, due to some administrative issue. As per now, the exam will be conducted from 6th to 10th January 2020, which was earlier schedule to conduct 9th to 15th December 2019.

AIEEA 2020 Exam Pattern & Syllabus (UG)

The National Testing Agency will conduct the exam in computer-based mode. It will be bilingual – English and Hindi. Students will have 150 minutes to answer 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).

ICAR AIEEA Exam 2020 Eligibility

Nationality –

  • Must be an Indian citizen

Academic Qualifications

  • For UG programmes, candidates should have done Class 12th with the combination of Physics, Mathematics, Biology or Agriculture and Chemistry (50% marks in aggregate). Reserved category candidates should have scored 40% marks in aggregate. Candidates appearing in the Class XII exam in 2019 can also apply.
  • For PG programmes, students must have held a Bachelor’s Degree in Dairy Technology.

Age Limit –

  • Students appearing in AIEEA UG 2020 must be 16 years as on 31st August 2020.
  • Those appearing in AIEEA PG 2020 must be 19 years as on 31st August 2020.

ICAR AIEEA Exam 2020 Application Process

The ICAR AIEEA application process 2020 will start from 1st March 2020. Eligible and interested students need to complete the registration process before 31st March and keep their hopes alive to study Dairy Technology at the preferred college. The application forms are available only through online mode.

AIEEA Application Form Filling Step by Step Guide -

  • Visit the authorised website of ICAR AIEEA.
  • Look for the link AIEEA 2020 Registration. Click on the link as per the course level - UG, PG, Doctorate.
  • Click on the ‘Apply’ button.
  • Follow the process to complete the registration. Provide information such as your full name, mobile number, email ID, etc.
  • You will receive log-in credentials in the registered email ID.
  • Now, log-in again and fill the remaining details (Personal Details, Basic Details, Academic Details, etc.)
  • Upload the scanned copies of signature and photo (keeping the prescribed specifications)
  • Remit the application fee using the debit card, credit card, net banking, etc.
  • Choose “I agree to abide by the rules and regulations governing the examination as contained in the Information Bulletin, which I have duly studied and understood thoroughly
  • Take a print of the confirmation page after successful application submission.

Other Details

AIEEA Admit Card 2020 –

NTA will issue the admit card from 25th April 2020 onwards. It will be available on the official website. Those who have successfully submitted the applications are suggested to log on to the authorised website and use the log-in credentials (application number and DOB) to download the admit card. Take a printout of the same. Carry the admit card to the examination centre.

AIEEA Result 2020 –

The NTA ICAR AIEEA result 2020 will be announced by 15th June 2020. It will be uploaded at the official NTA ICAR website. All India merit list will be prepared by the ICAR.

ICAR AIEEA Counselling 2020 –

For admission to Dairy Technology course, candidates must participate in the counselling, which will begin in July 2020. It will be conducted by ICAR only through the online mode. The counselling schedule will be released by ICAR after result declaration.
