The ICAR (Indian Council of Agricultural Research) organizes AIEEA (All India Entrance Examination for admission) into various courses of Dairy Technology on Undergraduate and Post-Graduate level. It also conducts exams for Ph.D with name AICE-SRF-PGS. ICAR conducts examination at national, state and University level for enrolling students into various courses like Horticulture, Forestry, Fisheries, Social Science including Dairy Technology.

Eligibility for Dairy Technology Exams

Following are the criteria of eligibility for the UG and PG courses.

For Undergraduate Courses

Age Limit –

  • For General candidate the age limit should be between 17 to 23 years.
  • The reserved category candidates are given relaxation of 5 years in the upper age limit.

Educational Qualification –

  • Candidates should have scored 50% marks in aggregate in their 12th examination. However there is relaxation in the aggregate marks requirement for the candidates belonging to the reserved category. The SC/ST/PC candidates are required to score a minimum of 40% marks in their 12th standard.
  • Candidate should have passed their 12th standard with the combination of following subjects- Physics, Chemistry, Math’s, Biology or Agriculture.

For Post Graduate Courses

  • Candidate should have completed their Bachelor’s degree under 10+2+4 or 10+2+5 system of education. Those who have done their Bachelor’s under the 10+2+3 system of education are eligible to 
  • Candidate should possess the Bachelor’s degree in Dairy Technology.
  • Candidates belonging to General/OBC/UPS (Under Privileged Sate) should have scored a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate.There is relaxation in the aggregate marks requirement for the candidates belonging to the SC/ST/PC category. They are required to have scored a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

Dairy Technology Exams Admission Process

Application Process

Candidate can get the application form of the ICAR AIEEA UG, PG and Ph.D courses both online as well as offline also. In order to get the application form online candidate should visit the official website of the ICAR. Candidate can get the application form offline by paying in cash to the Registrar of Agricultural Universities. They can also obtain it by paying through Demand Draft to the assigned branches of the Syndicate Bank.

In the offline mode candidate should send the filled in application form with the requisite postal stamp at the following official address –

Application form of Ph.D courses can be availed only through the online mode. Candidates cannot get it through offline mode. In order to fill the application form correctly, candidate can see the demo application form on the official website of the ICAR.

Application Fee

It is a mandatory to pay the application fee. Without payment of the application fee no application form will be entertained by the exam conducting authority. Check below for the amount of application fee to be paid by the candidate –

Mode Of Payment

Candidate should pay the application fee through the following mode –

  • For online mode candidate should pay their application fee either through the Debit Card or Credit Card or through the Bank Challan of Syndicate Bank.
  • For offline mode candidate should pay their application fee through the bank draft drawn in favour of ICAR Education Unit, New Delhi.

Reservation of Seats

There will be reservation of seats for Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses across various participating institutions of ICAR AIEEA 2017 Exam.

SC – 15%

ST – 7.5%

OBC – Reservation as per the Central government rule.

UPS – 2%

PC – 3%

Issuance of Admit Card

Admit cards will be issued to candidates in the 1st week of May, 2017. Candidateswill be provided with duplicate admit card along with the application form. They are required to fill all the necessary details in the admit card except the roll number and the venue of the exam, which will be filled by the examination authority. Candidates should keep their admit card at the centre of the examination. Without admit card they will not be allowed to take their exams.

Result

Candidates can check their result in the last week of June. It can be seen on the official website of the ICAR. All India merit list is declared as per which candidates will be assigned seats across various participating colleges. National Talent Scholarship will be given to candidates on the basis of their All India Rank in the merit list. And ICAR –JRF will be given to PG merit holders.

The exams for UG and PG courses have been fixed on June 10 and June 11, 2017 respectively. It is now being rescheduled.
