
The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) has given the responsibility of conducting the All India Entrance Examination for Admission (AIEEA) to various undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) courses offered by the leading agricultural universities to the National Testing Agency (NTA). AIEEA is the qualifying exam to pursue courses like Horticulture, Forestry, Food Nutrition and Dietetics, Dairy Technology, Agricultural Engineering, Fisheries, Agriculture, Community Science (also known as Home Science), Sericulture and Food Technology. ICAR administers the exam once a year. Candidates looking to pursue Dairy Technology programme must appear in ICAR AIEEA 2020.
The National Talent Scholarship will be given to candidates on the basis of their All India Rank in the merit list. And ICAR – JRF will be awarded to PG merit holders.
ICAR 2020 Latest Updates – The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the results for the All India Entrance Examination for Admission (AIEEA) for undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG) admissions to the agriculture university. The candidates who had appeared in the exam can check the results through the website- icar.nta.nic.in.
The scorecard is also available to download at the website. The exams were held in a Computer Based Test (CBT) mode on 16, 17, 22, and 23 September 2020 amid precautions followed due to the pandemic.
What is Dairy Technology?
A part of the food technology, Dairy Technology is a course that focuses on dairy products and involves processing of milk to produce high-quality products from it. Not only does it give a complete idea of milk processing but students pursuing Dairy Technology course would also understand the manufacturing process for its by-products, usage of dairy processing equipment, keep a check on quality and analyse production units like ice cream and dairy plants.
