The Indian Council of Agricultural Research conducts the ICAR AIEEA (All India Entrance Examination for Admission) exam for admission to various undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) courses offered by the leading agricultural universities. AIEEA is the qualifying exam to pursue courses like Horticulture, Forestry, Food Nutrition and Dietetics, Dairy Technology, Agricultural Engineering, Fisheries, Agriculture, Community Science (also known as Home Science), Sericulture and Food Technology. ICAR administers the exam once a year. Candidates looking to pursue Dairy Technology programme must appear in ICAR AIEEA 2019.

The National Talent Scholarship will be given to candidates on the basis of their All India Rank in the merit list. And ICAR – JRF will be given to PG merit holders.

What is Dairy Technology?

A part of the food technology, Dairy Technology is a course that focuses on dairy products and involves processing of milk to produce high-quality products from it. Not only does it give a complete idea of milk processing but students pursuing Dairy Technology course would also understand the manufacturing process for its by-products, usage of dairy processing equipment, keep a check on quality and analyse production units like ice cream and dairy plants.

The Indian Council of Agricultural Research will conduct the exam in offline mode (OMR). It will be bilingual – English and Hindi. Students will have 150 minutes to answer 180 multiple questions.

ICAR AIEEA Exam 2019 Eligibility

Nationality –

  • Must be an Indian citizen

Academic Qualifications

  • For UG programmes, candidates should have done Class 12th with the combination of Physics, Mathematics, Biology or agriculture and Chemistry (50% marks in aggregate). Reserved category candidates should have scored 40% marks in aggregate. Candidates appearing in the Class XII exam in 2019 can also apply.
  • For PG programmes, students must have held a Bachelor’s Degree in Dairy Technology with 60% marks in aggregate. Reserved candidates should have scored 50% marks in aggregate. Registrants appearing in the final year exam in 2019 are also eligible for the entrance test.

Age Limit –

  • Students appearing in AIEEA UG 2019 must be 16 years as on 31st August 2019
  • Those appearing in AIEEA PG 2019 must be 19 years as on 31st August 2019

ICAR AIEEA Exam 2019 Application Process

The ICAR AIEEA application process 2019 will begin in the month of April. Eligible and interested students need to complete the registration process before the last date and keep their hopes alive to study Dairy Technology at the preferred college. The application form will be available only in online mode.

AIEEA Admit Card 2019 –

ICAR will issue the admit card in the second week of May 2019. It will be available on the official website. Those who have successfully submitted the applications are suggested to log on to the authorised website of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research and use the log-in credentials (application number and DOB) to download and take a printout of the hall ticket. Before appearing at the exam venue, students must complete the self-attestation of the admit card.

AIEEA Result 2019 –

The ICAR AIEEA result 2019 will be announced in the first week of June. It can be seen on the official website of ICAR. All India merit list will be declared as per seats allotted to the students in the participating colleges.

Besides publishing the results online, the Authority will display the result copies at the exam cell of ICAR, Krishi Anusandhan Bhavan II, Pusa, New Delhi.
