ICAR AIEEA Exam

The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) has given the responsibility of conducting the All India Entrance Examination for Admission (AIEEA) to various undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) courses offered by the leading agricultural universities to the National Testing Agency (NTA). AIEEA is the qualifying exam to pursue courses like Horticulture, Forestry, Food Nutrition and Dietetics, Dairy Technology, Agricultural Engineering, Fisheries, Agriculture, Community Science (also known as Home Science), Sericulture and Food Technology. ICAR administers the exam once a year. Candidates looking to pursue Dairy Technology programme must appear in ICAR AIEEA 2020.

The National Talent Scholarship will be given to candidates on the basis of their All India Rank in the merit list. And ICAR – JRF will be awarded to PG merit holders.

ICAR 2020  Latest Updates – The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the results for the All India Entrance Examination for Admission (AIEEA) for undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG) admissions to the agriculture university. The candidates who had appeared in the exam can check the results through the website- icar.nta.nic.in.

The scorecard is also available to download at the website. The exams were held in a Computer Based Test (CBT) mode on 16, 17, 22, and 23 September 2020 amid precautions followed due to the pandemic.

What is Dairy Technology?

A part of the food technology, Dairy Technology is a course that focuses on dairy products and involves processing of milk to produce high-quality products from it. Not only does it give a complete idea of milk processing but students pursuing Dairy Technology course would also understand the manufacturing process for its by-products, usage of dairy processing equipment, keep a check on quality and analyse production units like ice cream and dairy plants.

ICAR AIEEA Exam 2020 Eligibility

Nationality –

  • Must be an Indian citizen

Academic Qualifications

  • For UG programmes, candidates should have done Class 12th with the combination of Physics, Mathematics, Biology or Agriculture and Chemistry (50% marks in aggregate). Reserved category candidates should have scored 40% marks in aggregate. Candidates appearing in the Class XII exam in 2019 can also apply.
  • For PG programmes, students must have held a Bachelor’s Degree in Dairy Technology.

Age Limit –

  • Students appearing in AIEEA UG 2020 must be 16 years as on 31st August 2020.
  • Those appearing in AIEEA PG 2020 must be 19 years as on 31st August 2020.

ICAR AIEEA Exam 2020 Application Process

The ICAR AIEEA UG/PG application process 2020 was started from 1st March 2020. Eligible and interested students need to complete the registration process before 31st March and keep their hopes alive to study Dairy Technology at the preferred college. The application forms are available only through online mode.

AIEEA Application Form Filling Step by Step Guide -

  • Visit the authorised website of ICAR AIEEA.
  • Look for the link AIEEA 2020 Registration. Click on the link as per the course level - UG, PG, Doctorate.
  • Click on the ‘Apply’ button.
  • Follow the process to complete the registration. Provide information such as your full name, mobile number, email ID, etc.
  • You will receive log-in credentials in the registered email ID.
  • Now, log-in again and fill the remaining details (Personal Details, Basic Details, Academic Details, etc.)
  • Upload the scanned copies of signature and photo (keeping the prescribed specifications)
  • Remit the application fee using the debit card, credit card, net banking, etc.
  • Choose “I agree to abide by the rules and regulations governing the examination as contained in the Information Bulletin, which I have duly studied and understood thoroughly
  • Take a print of the confirmation page after successful application submission.

Other Details

AIEEA Admit Card 2020 –

ICAR PG admit card has been released on the official website of the national level science entrance exam on 10th September 2020. Candidates can download ICAR AIEEA PG admit card can be downloaded by providing login details such as application number and date of birth. ICAR PG exam was conducted on 23rd September 2020. While, ICAR AIEEA UG admit card 2020 was released by National Testing Agency (NTA) for UG course admissions on 08th September 2020. ICAR AIEEA UG exam was conducted on 16, 17, and 22 September 2020. Along with ICAR AIEEA 2020 admit card, candidates also need to fill and download COVID-19 undertaking.

Those who have successfully submitted the applications are suggested to log on to the authorised website and use the log-in credentials (application number and DOB) to download the admit card. Take a printout of the same. Carry the admit card to the examination centre.

AIEEA Result 2020 –

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the results for AIEEA (UG), AIEEA (PG) 2020 exam. The ICAR AIEEA results 2020 have been made available in the online mode only. To check the AIEEA result of AIEEA 2020, candidates are required to visit the official website of the NTA. Prior to the release of ICAR AIEEA 2020 results, NTA had also released the final answer key of ICAR AIEEA 2020 undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) programmes as well. NTA conducted the ICAR AIEEA UG exam on 16th, 17th and 22nd September 2020 in a computer-based format while the NTA ICAR AIEEA PG exam was conducted in the same format on 23rd September 2020.

  • Click on the link for ‘AIEEA ICAR result’.
  • The NTA ICAR AIEEA result will appear on the screen.
  • The result has been released subject-wise in the form of a PDF.
  • Check and download the same for future reference.

NTA ICAR AIEEA offers admission to more than 15000 UG and 11000 PGseats across 75 agricultural universities, including 64 State Agricultural, Veterinary, Horticultural and Fisheries Universities (SAUs), 4 ICAR-DUs, viz. IARI, IVRI, NDRI and CIFE, 4 Central Universities (CUs) having Faculty of Agriculture (BHU, AMU, Viswa Bharati and Nagaland University) and 3 Central Agricultural Universities (CAU, Imphal, Dr RPCAU, Pusa and RLB CAU, Jhansi).

ICAR AIEEA Counselling 2020 –

Candidates declared as qualified in the ICAR AIEEA results 2020 are eligible to attend the ICAR AIEEA 2020 counselling process which includes registering for counselling, choice filling and locking and seat allotment. Candidates are allotted seats to different Universities under ICAR on a merit-cum-preference basis along with considering the availability of seats at the particular institute/university.
