AIEEA-PG 2019 will be conducted by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). The national-level examination is the gateway to pursue Master Degrees at Agricultural Universities. Courses that students can take up are Plant Biotechnology, Physical Science, Plant Sciences, Agronomy, Social Sciences, Entomology and Nematology, Statistical Sciences, Forestry/ Agroforestry and Silviculture, Horticulture, Water Science & Technology, Agricultural Engineering & Technology, Animal Biotechnology, Community Science (erstwhile Home Science), Animal Sciences, Veterinary Science, Dairy Science, Fisheries Science, Dairy Technology, Agri-Business Management and Food Science Technology.

ICAR conducts the AIEEA PG exam for admission to “25% SEATS (100% SEATS OF ICAR  DEEMED  UNIVERSITIES  &  DR.RP  CAU  PUSA)  IN  MASTER  DEGREE  PROGRAMMES  OF  AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITIES  AND  AWARD  OF  ICAR-PG  SCHOLARSHIP/NTS  (PGS)  IN  AGRICULTURE  & ALLIED  SCIENCES  FOR ACADEMIC SESSION 2018–19.

The official Information Bulletin clearly states, “There is no provision of direct nomination for   admission through ICAR in any Master degree programme without qualifying in this examination.”

ICAR PG Scholarships

The Indian Council of Agricultural Research will award ICAR-PG Scholarship to 475 students based on their overall rank and merit-list.

AIEEA-PG 2019 Latest Notifications – The Authority will tentatively release the AIEEA-PG 2019 application form in the first week of April. The exam will be conducted in the second week of May.

ICAR AIEEA PG 2019 Pattern & Syllabus

The AIEEA postgraduate 2019 exam will be held in offline/ pen and paper mode (OMR based). The medium of the exam will only be English. Candidates will get 150 minutes to complete 160 questions (150 questions from Section A and 10 questions from Section B). Well, the test-takers must answer all the questions carefully after reading the instructions mentioned on the OMR sheet. Providing incorrect answers will result in the reduction of the total mark. The exam-conducting Body will deduct 1 mark for every wrong answer.

ICAR AIEEA PG 2019 Eligibility

Nationality –

  • Applicants must be Indian nationals

Academic Requirements –

  • Registrants must have completed Bachelor’s Degree
  • Appearing candidates are also eligible for the exam
  • Must have held the Degree from a recognised university in the concerned field under 10+2+4, 10+2+5 (B.V.  Sc.&A.H.), 10+6 years degree (B.Sc.Ag.)
  • Students who have completed Bachelor Degree with 10+2+3 degree programme can apply in only two ICAR-DUs (NDRI Karnal and IARI Pusa)
  • Applicants seeking admission in M.V.Sc. programme must hold B.V.Sc. &  A.H. degree with internship

Age Limit –

  • Candidates appearing in the AIEEA-PG 2019 exam must be 19 years old as on 31st August 2019
  • Should not have been born after 01.09.2000
  • No relaxation is admissible regarding the minimum age limit

Reservation of Policy –

  • Remote and Underprivileged States/ Union Territories (UPS): 2%
  • Physically Challenged (PC): 5%
  • Scheduled Tribe (ST): 7.5%
  • Scheduled Caste (SC): 15%

ICAR AIEEA PG 2019 Application Process

The application process for AIEEA-PG 2019 will begin in the first week of April. The application submission deadline is the last week of the same month. The entire process will be done in online mode. Candidates meeting the eligibility prescribed by ICAR must log on to the official website and fill in the online form. Take a sneak peek of the steps to apply for the exam online –

  • Visit the authorised website of ICAR
  • Click on the AIEEA-PG 2019 Registration link
  • Enter information such as complete the name of the candidate, email ID, mobile number, etc. to complete the registration
  • Use the log-in details received in the registered email ID to sign-in
  • Log-in and fill Basic Details, Academic Details, Personal Details, etc.
  • The next step is to upload the scanned copies of signature, left-thumb impression and photo
  • Make payment via online using net banking, credit card, debit card, etc.
  • Select declaration and click on the SUBMIT button
  • Take a printout of the confirmation page for future correspondence

Note: Candidates must keep the proof of application fee paid for future reference. After submitting the form, it is mandatory to take a printout of the confirmation page and the hard copy should be sent to the Authority through Registered Post/ Speed Post. As per the official statement, “Application  (Hardcopy)  should  be  sent  through  Speed/Registered  post  only  and  the  applications  sent through  any  other  mode  like  private  courier  service,  fax,  e-mail, etc.,  shall  not  be  entertained.

AIEEA-PG 2019 Admit Card –

The AIEEA-PG 2019 admit card will be uploaded by the Authority on the authorised ICAR website. Candidates will be able to access it in the second week of May. Download the hall ticket, take a printout and complete the self-attestation before appearing at the exam centre. The AIEEA-PG Information Bulletin maintains, “Candidate may note that without self-attestation of the photo as well as signature and putting thumb impression of the candidate on the e-Admit card, the candidate will not  be allowed to appear in the examination.” However, the admit card must be preserved until the completion of counselling and admission.

AIEEA PG Mock Test 2019 –

The Indian Council of Agricultural Research will release the AIEEA-PG 2019 mock tests on its official web portal in May. Practice the mock tests as much as possible to understand the question pattern, difficulty level, etc. To access the tests, candidates must use their log-in credentials.

AIEEA PG Result 2019 –

Those who appear in the test can visit the ICAR website and see their results. The AIEEA result 2019 will be available in the merit list.

AIEEA PG Counselling 2019 –

Students who will be declared as qualified for counselling (in accordance with the merit rank) must register for online counselling. Original documents must be produced for verification – AIEEA PG 2019 admit card, age proof (Class X certificate), photograph, provisional certificate, AIEEA PG result and category certificate. “For Online Counselling, the qualified candidate will have to get registered by paying ₹ 2000/- through online payment gateway of ICAR by using Credit/ Debit card/ Net banking.
