GITAM GAT 2022 Eligibility

For UG Engineering Courses

B.Tech. Course

Must have passed the 10+2 exam from a recognized central/ state board with at least 60% marks or 6.0 CGPA (55% marks in case of CBSE/ ICSE board) with Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics subjects in 2021 or 2022.

B.Tech. Biotechnology Course

Must have passed the 10+2 exam from a recognized central/ state board with at least 60% marks or 6.0 CGPA (55% marks in case of CBSE/ ICSE board) with Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics/ Biology subjects in 2021 or 2022.

For PG (M.Tech.) Engineering Courses

B.E./ B.Tech./ AMIE in respective branches from a recognized University with a minimum 50% aggregate marks. For course-wise qualifications, check out the official website.

GATE-qualified candidates are exempted from the GAT exam. However, such candidates are required to fill the application form and participate in the counselling process.

For Lateral Entry Engineering

Diploma in respective branch of Engineering from a recognized Technical Education Board with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks.

GITAM GAT 2022 Application Process

The GITAM GAT 2022 application process is online. The application form submission has started on 14th December 2021 and will continue till 31st May 2022. Candidates must fill in all the details in the form carefully. Here is the step-by-step process.

Steps for GAT 2022 Application Submission

The application process involves the following steps:

• Registration
• Verification
• Complete Application Form
• Make Fee Payment
• Take Print of the Application Form

Registration

• Visit the official website at https://apply.gitam.edu/.
• Click on the ‘Register’ option on the home page.
• Enter your name, mobile number, email address, country, state, district, degree, interested discipline, programme, and password. And, click on the ‘Register’ button.

Verification

• A verification link will be sent to the mentioned email ID and phone number.
• Candidates must follow the procedure for email ID and mobile number verification.

Complete Application Form

• Now, log in using the credentials and complete the application form with address, qualification, and other details.

Make Fee Payment

• Make the application fee payment using your preferred mode.

Take Print of the Application Form

• After the application fee is paid successfully, take a print of the completed application form.

The application fee for the exam is ₹ 1000.

GITAM GAT 2022 Other Details

GITAM GAT 2022 Slot Booking

Candidates have to participate in the GAT 2022 slot booking process after application submission. The admit cards for the exam can be downloaded only after the slot booking process. Slot booking is done based on a first come first serve basis. In the slot booking process, candidates are required to select the exam center, date, and slot for the exam as per their preference. The process is online.

GITAM GAT 2022 Admit Card

Once the slot booking process is complete, candidates can download the GITAM GAT 2022 hall tickets using their credentials. The admit cards can be downloaded only through the official website. The admit cards have details viz. candidate’s name, date of birth, exam date, exam center details, etc. Admit card is a mandatory document for appearing in the exam. Carry it to the exam center along with a valid photo ID proof.

GITAM GAT 2022 Result

The GITAM GAT 2022 result will be announced by the exam conducting authority through the online mode. The result will be uploaded at the official website. Candidates can check the same using their login credentials.

GITAM GAT 2022 Counselling

After the result is announced, qualified candidates are required to participate in the counselling process. A counselling fee of ₹ 1000/- is to be paid in cash. Candidates will be provided with call letters to participate in the counselling process. In the counselling process, candidates have to undergo document verification and complete the admission formalities. Documents to be carried out for the counselling process are:

• 10th class or equivalent passing certificate
• 10+2/ Intermediate marks statement and pass certificate
• Transfer Certificate
• Conduct Certificate
• Medical Certificate from Civil Surgeon (in case of PH Candidates)
• Reserved Category (in case of SC/ST)
