Osmania University, Hyderabad conducts the Telangana State Education Common Entrance Test (TS EdCET) on behalf of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE). The exam is conducted for admission to two-year B.Ed courses offered at the colleges of education in Telangana. The last date for the application submission has been recently extended to 12th August 2021. Teaching Aptitude

Aptitude questions related to the teaching-learning process, classroom management, mentoring (teacher-pupil relationship) will be asked.

TS EdCET 2021 Eligibility

Candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria to apply for the TS EdCET 2021 exam:

Nationality

  • Candidates must be Indian nationals.

Age Limit (as on 1st July 2021)

  • The minimum age limit for the exam is 19 years.
  • There is no maximum age limit for the exam.

Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must have a graduation degree viz. BSc/ BSc (Home Science)/ BCom/ BA/ BTech/ BE/ BCA/ BBM or post-graduation degree (relevant subject) or five-year integrated course (relevant subject) of methodology or other equivalent courses with a minimum of 50% (40% for SC/ ST/ BC (A/ B/ C/ D/ E)/ PH category) marks.
  • Those securing a minimum of 55% marks in BTech/ BE with Mathematics/ Science as one of the subjects or any other equivalent qualification are also eligible for the exam.
  • Those who have cleared MBBS/ BAMS/ BDS/ BL/ BA (Languages)/ LLB/ BOL and any other professional course are not eligible.
  • Those who are in the final year of the qualifying examination are also eligible for the TS EdCET 2021 exam.

TS EdCET 2021 Application Process

Applications for the TS EdCET 2021 exam will be submitted online through the official website. The last date for application fee payment has been extended till 12th August 2021. The detailed application process is mentioned under -

Steps for TS EdCET 2021 Application Submission

  • Visit the official website at https://edcet.tsche.ac.in/.
  • Click on the ‘Fill Application Form’ link under the ‘Application’ option.
  • At first, you are required to make the fee payment. So, click the ‘Click Here’ link for the same.
  • Now enter the details asked for, such as qualifying exam hall ticket, candidate’s name, date of birth, mobile number, email ID, category, and payment type.
  • Make the fee payment.
  • After making the fee payment, you will receive the payment reference ID.
  • Now again, click the application form link on the home page.
  • Enter the payment reference ID, qualifying exam hall ticket number, mobile number, and date of birth. Then, click the ‘Proceed to Fill Application’ button.
  • The application form will appear on the screen. Fill it to complete the application process.

TS EdCET 2021 Admit Card

  • Candidates can download the TS EdCET 2021 admit cards from the official website using their registration number and date of birth.
  • Admit card will be issued only for those who have successfully submitted the application form.
  • Candidates are required to carry the admit cards to the exam centre for entry into the examination hall.
  • The admit card has details of the exam date, timings, exam center address, etc.
  • Candidates must keep the admit card safe till the admission process gets over.
  • Carry a valid ID proof and 2-3 recent passport size photographs along with the admit card to the exam center.

TS EdCET Answer Key

TS EdCET 2021 preliminary phase answer key will be released after the exam.

Candidates will be given the option to raise objections against the preliminary answer key.

Objections are to be submitted with valid reasons within the specified time. If the objections are found correct, changes will be updated in the answer key, and the final answer key will be released later.

TS EdCET 2021 Result

TS EdCET 2021 Result will be declared on the official website.

The final answer key will also be released along with the result.

Moreover, the result is prepared based on the final answer key. The minimum qualifying mark for the exam is 25%, i.e. 38 marks.

However, for candidates belonging to reserved categories (SC/ ST) and women candidates appearing for Physical Sciences/ Mathematics methodology, there are no minimum marks required for the exam.

TS EdCET - Rank List

Separate rank lists are prepared for each methodology, wherein merit ranks are allotted to each candidate based on their marks secured in the exam. The rank cards can be downloaded from the official website.

TS EdCET 2021 Counselling

After the result declaration, candidates are required to appear for a web-based counselling session. Seats are allotted in different colleges of education in the states as per candidates’ ranks.
