SRMJEEE Exam

SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Examination (SRMJEEE) is conducted by the Sri Ramaswamy Memorial Institute of Science and Technology, earlier known as SRM University. The examination is conducted for admission to B.Tech. courses offered by the institute and its campuses. English - Short passages, lines from poems, and dialogues will be given. Candidates are required to choose the right answer as per the comprehension.



SRMJEEE Exam 2020 Eligibility

Before filling the application form, candidates must make sure that they are eligible for the exam. Check out the eligibility criteria here:

Nationality

Indian residents, Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), and PIO or OCI card holders (card must be issued by the Government of India) are eligible for the exam.

Age Limits

The minimum and maximum age for the exam will be calculated as on 31st July of the year in which class 12th examination was held. The age limits are:

  • Minimum age - 16 years
  • Maximum age - 21 years

Qualifying Exam

  • Passed/ Appearing in the Higher Secondary Examination with Chemistry, Physics as compulsory subjects and any one of the Biology/ Mathematics/ Biotechnology/ Botany & Zoology from any recognised state board, ICSE, CBSE, or NIOS.
  • However, those who have passed both 10th and 12th standard examination from NIOS are not eligible for the exam.
  • Candidates having International Baccalaureate (IB) with a diploma or an A-level with Chemistry, Physics, and Biology/ Mathematics/ Botany & Zoology/ Biotechnology from any international school are also eligible for the exam.

SRMJEEE Exam 2020 Application Process

The SRMJEEE 2020 application form can be filled through both offline and online mode. The application process has started on 28th October 2019. The last date for receipt of the application form through offline mode is 29th February 2019 and through online mode is 30th March 2020. Registration and Verification

  • Visit the official website - https://applications.srmist.edu.in/btech.
  • You will see a window ‘SRMJEEE 2020 B.Tech. Admission Open’
  • Enter your name, email Id, mobile number, password, state, city, and captcha.
  • Click the ‘Register’ button.
  • After successful registration, you will receive a mail at your registered email Id.
  • Verify the email Id to complete the registration process.

Filling the Application Form

  • Now log-in using your email ID and password.
  • Fill the details in the application form.
  • Candidates are required to enter details such as parent name, gender, date of birth, nationality, test city centres, university preference, qualification details, etc.

SRMJEEE Fee Payment -

  • Make fee payment.
  • You can select the payment option and follow the steps for the application fee payment. The fee can be paid through both online or offline mode. The application fee for the exam is ₹ 1100/-. The application fee is non-refundable.

Uploading Photograph and Signature

  • After the fee payment is successful, upload the scanned images of the photograph and signature.

Offline

In the offline mode, candidates are required to collect the application form from the institute, fill the ORM application form and send it to the exam conducting authority. The fee can be paid offline through Demand Draft drawn in favour of SRMIST, payable at Chennai. Write your name and address at the back of the Demand Draft. The application form and DD must reach the institute before the last date. Send the application form to the following address:

Other Details

SRM Direct Admission

As per the official notification for Admission 2020; “To encourage and support students of exemplary talent, SRM offers direct admission and scholarships to first rank students of all the Central and State Boards in India, top 10,000 rankers in IIT JEE, top rankers in each district of Tamil Nadu and exemplary sportspersons at National and International level.”

SRMJEEE 2020 Slot Booking

Candidates who have applied for the SRMJEEE 2020 exam are required to book a slot for their examination. If not, they will not be able to appear for the examination. The slot booking facility is made available online and the slots are allotted on a first-come-first-serve basis. Candidates are required to choose the date and timing for their exam as per their preference, subject to availability. Please note that admit card will not be issued without slot booking.

SRMJEEE 2020 Admit Card

SRMJEEE 2020 admit card will be issued only to those applicants whose application forms are complete in all respects and submitted before the last date. The admit cards will be released at the official portal in April 2020. The exact date is not announced yet. Candidates must keep a check on the official website one or two weeks prior to the exam.

Admit cards/ hall tickets can be downloaded using the log-in credentials. The admit card comprises of details such as name, photograph, exam centre address, test timings, etc. Candidates must check all the details carefully and report the errors (if any) to the exam Director, Admissions. Please note that admit card is an important document and is mandatory for appearing in the SRMJEEE exam. Don’t forget to carry it to the examination venue.

SRMJEEE 2020 Result

SRMJEEE 2020 result is uploaded at the official website and also intimated to the candidates through email. The result is released in the form of a merit list tentatively in the fourth week of April 2020. The list is prepared based on the scores obtained by the candidates in the SRMJEEE exam. The university will not release the individual scores of the candidates. Candidates can easily check the results at the official website.

SRMJEEE 2020 Counselling

SRMJEEE 2020 counselling will be conducted through offline mode in the first or second week of May 2020. Candidates who qualify the exam can log-in to their profiles and download the counselling call letter. Fill the choices for colleges and courses, report at the reporting institute with all the documents for verification (read the call letter for the list of documents), and pay the fee on the dates specified by the institute.
