JNU Commences Mid-Semester Exams Online To Follow COVID-19 Lockdown

Amid Coronavirus lockdown in the country, JNU have begun the scheme to conduct mid-semester exams online.

Due to COVID-19 effect and imposed lockdown, exams in most colleges/ universities remain postponed and the new dates are still in the waiting zone. In this chaos, Jawaharlal Nehru University, JNU has begun conducting their mid-semester exams via online mode. Recently JNU Vice Chancellor M. Jagadesh Kumar has tweeted about this and says “In order to complete the academic requirements for the MSc and MPhil/PhD degrees, the School of Environmental Sciences, JNU has started the mid-semester exams using digital means from 27th April to 4th May 2020”. JNU Mid- Semester Exams – Important Updates to Know

JNU has started the Mid-Semester Exams of the university via online means. However, this facility is open only for the School of Environmental Sciences for the academic requirements of MSc and MPhil/PhD degrees. Those who are into these courses can appear for the exam from 27th April to 4th May 2020.

Earlier, the university has passed an order to extend the JNUEE 2020 application process till 30th April 2020. Those who are willing to apply for the university entrance test can do it so by accessing the official website of JNU.

On 22nd April, the university had approved the recommendations on the schools for conducting the mid-semester exams online. The JNU Academic Council had approved that recommendations submitted by the Deans of Schools and the chairpersons of Special Centres on the mode of conducting the mid-semester exams in their respective schools/ centres. This was done with a view of the difficulty faced in conducting the exams in the normal mode due to the ongoing lockdown situation in the country.

The classes of the university have been suspended since 16th March 2020, because of the ongoing risk of COVID-19 pandemic.
