JNU Academic Calendar 2020 Released, College Will Reopen By June-End

The Jawaharlal Nehru University has announced its revised academic calendar and says exams will be completed by July 31.

09.May.2020 – The Jawaharlal Nehru University has announced its academic calendar for the monsoon semester. On Saturday, JNU vice-chancellor M Jagadesh Kumar said that the academic calendar for JNU 2020 session has been unanimously approved by all the deans of Schools and Chairpersons of Special Centres.

As per the revised calendar, the Delhi-based campus is more likely to reopen in between June 25 to June 30, so that they can resume the winter semester classes and complete the remaining academic components. All the incomplete semester examinations will be completed by July 31, 2020. This includes semester exams and results as well.

JNU Academic Calendar 2020 – Other Important Dates

Although, students are expected to return to the JNU campus by June-end and winter semester will be held till July 31. The university claims, even if the examination results are not ready to announce by July 31, candidates will have the opportunity to provisionally register themselves and move on to the next semester. The entire provisional registration for the monsoon semester (for already enrolled students) will be conducted online from July 25 for the ease of students. The classes will begin on August 1 for the enrolled students. On the other hand, following UGC instruction, the deadline for research scholars to submit their dissertations/ theses has been extended till December 31.

Note: This academic calendar of JNU is tentative at this time and depends on how the Covid-19 lockdown is lifted across the country.

JNU Academic Calendar 2020 – Details About JNUEE Exam

According to released calendar, the next semester classes are to begin from September 1 and the admission process will start from August 1, however, the university has not shared any details regarding JNUEE entrance exam. As of now, the National Testing Agency (NTA) – the exam conducting body – has kept the application link open for JNU (JNUEE) 2020 entrance test.
