ATMA (AIMS Test For Management Admission) is conducted on national level by the AIMS. ‘AIMS’ is Association of Indian Management Schools which organises and conducts the ATMA exam’s four times in a year to take admission of students in various management programmes. It paves the way for the admission of students in various MBA programmes like PGDM, PGDBA, MBA, MCA, MCM etc.

‘AIMS’ was established in the year 1988 with a goal to select candidate with high IQ competence for the managerial abilities. Thus it undertakes exams to measure the high mental calibre of candidates in the areas of quantitative reasoning, mathematical reasoning and comprehension skill. With around more than 700 members today, AIMS is considered as one of the largest network of management institutions across the world. Some of the most reputed management institutes and colleges of India like IIM’s, S.P Jain, NMIMS, ICFAI, MDI etc are members of it.

This highly credible exam’s is conducted four times in a given year in the months of December, February, May and August. The ATMA is recognised by the Ministry of Human Resource Development.

Eligibility for ATMA Exam

Age –There is no bar of the age to appear for the ATMA Exams.

Educational Qualifications –

  • The candidate should be a graduate under the 10+2+3 system of studies. He should have done his Bachelor’s with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. Or the candidate should have obtained an equivalent degree of the graduation with the aggregate percentage of 50% marks.

  • He should have obtained his bachelor’s degree in any background –B.A, B.Com, B.Tech, etc. The candidate should have earned his Bachelor’s degree only from the recognised Universities under the UGC or the Ministry of Human resource of Development at the Government of India.

  • Those candidates who are in the final year of their Bachelor’s are also eligible to appear for the exams. In other words candidates who appearing in the final year exams are also eligible for the exams.

  • There is no requirement of work experience of the candidate. Both types of candidates i.e. those with work –experience and those with no work experience are treated on the same par. Both of them are eligible to apply for the exams.

ATMA Exam Admission Process

Candidates wishing to apply for the ATMA 2017, Exam can apply in both ways, online as well as offline mode. In the online mode candidates should get themselves registered, pay their fee and subsequently apply for the exam. In the offline mode candidate can avail the Application form from the prescribed centre by the payment of the requisite Application fee.

How To Apply

  • In order to apply for the aforesaid exams by the online mode, following instructions should be followed-

  • The candidate should first of all get himself registered on the exam’s website. For that the candidate should visit the official website of the AIMS.

  • For registration candidate should fill in the details of his personal background like Name, address, date of birth, valid email id and mobile number.

  • Once the candidate has filled these details about himself, he should further pay the Registration fee through the online mode.

  • The Registration fee can be paid online by the Credit Card, Debit Card and Net Banking transfers.

  • Once the candidate gets himself successfully registered now he will be provided the login credentials. He will be given Username and password. These details will be sent to candidates on their given email id.

  • The candidate should by using these login credentials will be able to access the Application form of the ATMA 2017 Exam’s.

  • The candidate should fill all the required details in the application form. He is asked to provide details about his personal background including the details of his educational qualifications. The candidate should fill all the columns correctly.

  • The candidate should also upload the scanned copy of his photograph and signature in the given dimensions, along with the Application form.

  • After filling the Application form candidate is advised to take the print copy of it. This will be used for the future references.

  • How To Apply Offline

  • The candidate should obtain the Application form from the given centres only by the payment of the Application fee.

  • Once the candidate submits the Application form he is given the PID code.

  • This PID code is important to be retained by the candidate, as it will be used in future while downloading the Admit Card.

  • Candidate should not forget to keep the 2 copies of the filled application form which will be used in the future references.

Application/Registration Fee

The candidate should pay their registration fee or the application fee. The requisite amount it is Rs 1100. It can be paid through the online mode of Credit card, Debit Card, Net Banking, Bank Transfer and by cash in the offline mode of payment.

ATMA Exam Pattern (Syllabus)

The ATMS Exam’s tests the candidate suitability to study the higher management courses. Their managerial IQ is tested by putting questions from the areas of Numerical reasoning, Verbal reasoning and Analysing and Synthesising abilities. The exams consist of 180 questions which are to be answered in 180 minutes by the candidate. The questions are objective in nature.

Admit Card Issuance

Candidate can get their Admit Card by the online mode only. They will not be sent any hard copies of Admit Card at their residential address. The Admit Card of the ATMA 2017, Exam of February will be available online from Feb. 8th ,2017.They can download their admit card by entering details about their login credentials on the official website of the AIMS. The candidate should carry their admit card at the centre of the examination. They should also carry the copy of their identity proof about which they have entered its details while filling their application form. Along with their ID they should also carry their recent photograph.

Result Declaration of ATMA 2017, Exam of February

The result of the ATMA Exam’s is declared after few days of the date of the exams. Candidates can check for their result on the official website of the AIMS by entering details about their login credentials like username and password or PID code. The ATMA scores furnish scores of Quantitative, Analytical, Verbal and total aptitude score.

Note –The score of the ATMA Exam’s remains valid only for a year.
