ATMA stands for the AIMS Test for Management Admissions is a national-level, single-window, comprehensive and credible management entrance test conducted for admission to various postgraduate programmes including MBA, MCA, MCM, PGDBA, PGDM, etc. Administered by the Association of Indian Management Schools, commonly known as AIMS, the entrance exam is comprised of analytical reasoning, verbal and quantitative skills to weigh up the aptitude of the applicants for Higher Management Education.

It is generally organised five times a year – January, February, May, June and August. The ATMA 2020 exam has been conducted in February, July, and August. The dates for the remaining two sessions have not been announced yet. This year, due to the COVID-19 situation, there are some variations in the ATMA exam sessions. Candidates must keep a check on the official website for updates.

ATMA 2020 Latest Notification: The Association of Indian Management Schools has recently conducted the August session exam on 7th August 2020. Qualified candidates can get admission in various management courses on the basis of their ATMA scores. The ATMA scores are accepted by approximately 200 high ranking management institutions.

ATMA Exam 2020 Pattern & Syllabus

Like any other popular MBA entrance exams such as CAT, MAT, XAT, etc., ATMA too shares a similar kind of exam pattern. The nature of the test remains the same for all five ATMA exams. The test is computer-based. In this, candidates will have to be proficient in computer and the Internet. The online examination will have 180 questions spread over six important sections. Students can attempt the sections as per their suitability and convenience. The main sections are Analytical Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning and Quantitative Skills.

  • Exam Mode: Online (computer and Internet)

  • Total Number of Questions: 180
  • Marking Scheme: 1 mark for every correct answer
  • Negative Marking Scheme: 0.25 marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer

ATMA Exam 2020 Eligibility

Nationality –

  • An Indian national is eligible to appear in all the 5 exams of the ATMA test.

Academic Qualification -

  • Must be a graduate with a minimum 50% marks
  • He should have studied from a UGC recognised varsity
  • If a student is appearing in the last year of his Bachelor degree course, he is allowed to take the test.
  • Candidates with a certificate of Chartered Account (CA) can fill in the online application form too.

Age Qualification –

  • AIMS has not set any specific age limit for ATMA 2020.
  • If you meet the requirements mentioned above, you can submit the application form for the ATMA January Session Exam 2020.

Work Experience –

  • You need not have any prior work experience.

ATMA Exam 2020 Application Process

Candidates interested in taking up the ATMA 2020 exam must fill the application forms for different sessions as per their convenience. Once the forms are released, candidates need to visit the official website of ATMA, i.e. to complete the registration procedure. Follow the steps –

  • Visit the above-mentioned website.
  • Access the ATMA 2019 Application Form.
  • Click on the ‘Register’ button.
  • Enter your name, mobile number, date of birth and email ID.
  • Release the payment using the credit card, debit card and net banking.
  • After the successful payment, you will be sent a Personal Identification Number (PID) on your registered email address.
  • Click on the ‘Submit’ button.
  • Take at least two printouts of the acknowledgement page.
  • Check your mail for an auto-generated mail from AIMS. It will consist of the username and password for login.

Other Details

ATMA Admit Card 2020

Candidates who have successfully submitted their application forms are eligible to download the ATMA 2020 admit card. The hall tickets will tentatively be available two to three days before the exam. The hall tickets can be downloaded using the PID and Password. Take a printout of the call letter; paste a coloured passport-size photograph in the given space while appearing at the exam venue. Also, carry two more photographs and one original photo identification proof. The test-takers are suggested to obtain the signature of the invigilator on the second page of the hall ticket for future use.

ATMA Result 2020:

ATMA result 2020 will be released within a week after the commencement of the exam. Using the already given login credentials, you can obtain the ATMA 2020 scorecard. For the August 2020 session exam, the result will be released on 12th August 2020. And to obtain the scorecard, you must log on to the official website.

ATMA Scores – What after ATMA 2020 Result

AIMS will not send any hard copy of the result or the scorecard. You must follow the steps mentioned above to obtain the ATMA scorecard. Based on the obtained scores AIMS will shortlist the candidates. The latter will undergo the selection procedure at various institutes of ATMA. The selection process will consist of Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Admissions will be offered to the students based on their performance.
