JIPMER PG exam has been replaced by INI-CET (Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test) conducted by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. Thus, the exam conducting authority for JIPMER PG 2021 is AIIMS, New Delhi. INI-CET is a national level exam conducted twice a year (in January and July) for admission to 6 years MD/ MS courses. JIPMER PG Latest Update -

  • The JIPMER PG exam has been scrapped by the authorities and admission to JIPMER PG courses will now be done through the INI-CET exam.
  • The registration process for the INI-CET 2021 July session was over on 31st March 2021. Candidates can now check the status of the application till 23rd April 2021. The exam is scheduled to be held on 8th May 2021.
  • Earlier, the online results of the JIPMER PG 2021 entrance exam for the January session were made available on 27th November 2020. The examination was held on 20th November 2020.

JIPMER PG Exam 2021 Eligibility

Candidates must read the eligibility criteria for the JIPMER PG exam carefully before applying for the exam. Here are the details about eligibility criteria:


  • Indian Nationals and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) are eligible for the exam. Foreign Nationals candidates are required to send their application through the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.
  • All Foreign Nationals are required to take permission from the Medical Council of India before applying for the PG exam.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have an MBBS or equivalent degree from any institute recognised by the Medical Council of India. The minimum qualifying marks in the degree must be 55% aggregate marks for the General and OBC categories and 50% aggregate marks for SC/ST categories. For the OPH category candidates, marks as per the category they belong to will be applicable.

The application process for the INI-CET 2021 July session exam was conducted between 1st to 31st March 2021. The application process was online and candidates were to submit the application forms only through the official website. Applications were not accepted through any other mode.

Steps to Fill the JIPMER PG 2021 Application Form

Follow the steps to fill the application form:

  • Go to the official website - https://www.aiimsexams.ac.in/.
  • Click on the registration link.
  • Start the registration process and provide details such as name, date of birth, email ID, mobile number.
  • Click on the ‘Register’ button to submit the details.
  • User ID and password will be sent to your email ID after a successful registration.
  • Upload the scanned images of your photograph and signature.
  • Generate the Registration Unique Code.
  • Now, log in using your ID and password to complete the remaining application form. Provide details about the category, state, nationality, gender, Parent’s name, etc.
  • Enter educational qualification, present and permanent address.
  • Mention the ID proof number.
  • Make the application fee payment to complete the application process.

JIPMER PG Exam Admit Card 2021

JIPMER PG 2021 admit card can be downloaded via the official website as per the schedule. Candidates can download the admit card using their registration ID and password. The hall ticket will contain the name of the candidate, date of birth, photo, signature, roll number, exam date, timings, etc. No candidate will be allowed to appear for the examination without an admit card. Keep the admit card safe till the admission process gets over.

JIPMER PG Result 2021

JIPMER PG exam result for the January 2020 session was announced on 27th November 2020. The INI-CET 2021 result for the July session will be released on 15th May 2021. Candidates can check their result using their registration number and password. Qualified candidates will be eligible to take part in the counselling process.

INI-CET Counselling 2021

The list of candidates who qualify for the counselling process is released along with the result. Candidates are required to appear for the counselling process in order to get admission. The counselling process is likely to start in the third week of May 2021 for the July session. The registration for the counselling process will be done online. The counselling process is conducted in four rounds. Candidates are required to opt for their preferred discipline. Candidates are required to report to the college at the given date and time along with the required documents.
