Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University organizes and conducts the IPU CET Exam. The IPU (Indra Prastha University) CET (Common Entrance Test) is essentially a University level examination. This exam paves the way for admission of candidates for various Undergraduate and Post Graduate Courses of Engineering, Law, Management, Computer Application etc. For Medical courses admissions are taken on the basis of NEET Exam.

Eligibility for IPU CET Exam

  • Candidate should have passed the 12th standard or equivalent exam from recognized Board/ University or institution.
  • Candidate should have scored at least 55% marks in aggregate to become eligible for the B.Tech exam.
  • Candidates who have done their higher secondary exam with Diploma with 60% marks in aggregate are eligible to apply for the B.Tech course.
  • Candidates with B.Sc degree can also apply for the exam. They should have scored minimum of 60% marks in aggregate for eligibility.
  • If the candidate seeks admission in the M.Tech programme then he should have done his Bachelor’s with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate.

IPU CET Exam Application Process

Application Form Filling 

Candidates can get the Application form only through the online mode only. They are required to apply for the exam through the online mode. The application form should be submitted along with the application fee before or on the last date. Candidate should note that applications will not be accepted after the last date of exam.

How To Apply

  • Candidate should visit the official website of the Indraprastha University to apply for the exam.
  • On the site they should select the exam they want to apply.
  • The Application form is available online only.
  • At the website candidate should register himself by providing few basic details about himself, like name, address, email id and mobile number. Upon registration candidate will be given login id and password at his login account.
  • With the help of this login id and password the candidate can access the application form.
  • He should fill the application form with the requisite details like- educational background, address, parents name etc.
  • Along with the application form it is important to pay the application fee. The payment details of the Application fee should be mentioned in the application form.
  • Candidate should fill the application form correctly. However in case any error occur by mistake he can send an application form ( hard copy) for the correction along with the correction fee ₹500 at the following address – Reception, Examination Division, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi.
  • Candidate should also upload the scanned copy of their photograph, left thumb impression and signature along with the application form. It should not be more than 80 kb in size. It should be in JPEG/ JPG format.

Application Fee

  • The application fee for the exam is ₹1000 (excluding taxes and processing fee). Without the payment of the application fee forms will not be accepted.
  • It can be paid online through the Credit Card/ Debit Card or Net Banking.
  • Once paid application fee is non-refundable 

Admit Card issuance

The admit card can be downloaded online. It can be availed online from the official website of the Indraprastha University. It is mandatory to carry the admit card at the center of the exam. Candidate should keep the admit card till the completion of the process of the exam for reference. It will be issued 1 week before the date of exam.

Result Declaration

The result will be declared one month after the conduction of the exam. Candidate can see their result online. The merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks scored by candidates in the common entrance test.

Counselling and Admission Process

Candidates are called for counselling on the basis of their marks and all India rank to allocate them seat in the colleges. Candidate should report to the counselling authority along with all the required documents on the date and venue of the scheduled counselling. The counselling will be of three rounds. A counselling fee of ₹ 1000 is charged from the candidate.

The candidates are allocated seats in the colleges on the basis of their rank, marks, their choice and the availability of the seat. They should pay the admission fee to get admission.
