IIT JEE Advanced exam will be held online from the year 2018. This was done to reduce errors and make evaluation easier.
21 August, 2017: “In order to make logistics and evaluations easier it was decided today that the JEE-Advanced should be made online," said Joint Admission Board member. Joint Admission Board (JAB) is the policy-making board for IIT admissions. The decision was taken in a recent meeting in Chennai.
Last year, due to printing and translation errors in question paper, JAB gave 18 bonus marks to all candidates who took the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) for admission in Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). The online test will prevent such situations.
Prof Bhaskar Ramamurthi, Director IIT-Madras and Chairman JAB 2017 said; “It has been decided that the JEE (Advanced) will be conducted in online mode from 2018 onwards. Further information regarding the examination will be provided by the JAB in due course.”
Aspirants are requested to stay connected for any further updates about the IIT JEE Advanced Exam.
