HSSC Recruitment 2022 Pattern & Syllabus

The selection process for both the Junior Engineer and Clerk posts is the same. It comprises of:

  • Written Exam
  • Socio-Economic Criteria and Experience

HSSC Junior Engineer and Clerk Written Exam Pattern

The written exam comprises of multiple-choice questions which are divided as under:

The examination will be OMR-based and will be of a maximum of 90 minutes duration. The total marks for the written exam are 90. 10 marks will be for socio-economic criteria and experience. Thus, the details of the HSSC JE and CLerk exam patterns are:

Socio-Economic Criteria and Experience

This section will be 10 marks. Please note that no candidates will be awarded more marks than 10. The socio-economic and experience criteria for the exam are as under:

If the applicants or their family members are or were not a regular employees in any department of the Haryana government or any other state government or central government

5 marks

If the applicant is a widow or first or second child and his father died before attaining 42 years of age or first or second child and his father died before the applicant attained 15 years of age

If the applicant belongs to a denotified tribe - Vimukt Jatis and Tapriwas Jatis or Nomadic tribe of Haryana. These tribes must not be a Scheduled Caste or a Backward class.

5 marks

Working experience as prescribed by HSSSC. 0.5 marks will be awarded for each year of service on the same/ higher post in any department of the Haryana government. No marks will be awarded for experience less than 6 months and more than 16 years.

HSSC Recruitment 2022 Eligibility

Junior Engineer Recruitment 2022

Age Limit

  • Minimum Age - 17 years
  • Maximum Age - 42 years

Upper age relaxation is provided to reserved category candidates as per Haryana Government instructions. 

Educational Qualification

  • 3 years diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil/ Mechanical/ Electrical engineering from any institute recognized by AICTE or State Board of Technical Education.
  • The minimum marks of the candidates in the diploma should be 60% for General and other category candidates and 55% for SC category candidates of Haryana domicile.
  • Candidates must have passed Hindi or Sanskrit up to the Matric level.

Clerk Recruitment 2022

Age Limit

  • Minimum Age - 17 years
  • Educational Qualification - 42 years

Educational Qualification

  • Passed 10+2 or graduated from a Government recognized Board/ University.
  • Hindi or Sanskrit up to Matric/ Higher level.

HSSC Recruitment 2022 Application Process

The application process for the clerk and junior engineer recruitment is online. Candidates can apply for the exams via the official website - www.hssc.gov.in. Candidates must fill the application forms within the specified time. Here are the general steps for both the recruitment processes.

Steps to fill the HSSC 2022 Application Form -

  • Visit the HSSC official website.
  • Move the mouse over the ‘Recruitment’ tab on the top.
  • Click on the ‘Apply for Job’ option from the drop-down menu.
  • Now, visit the respective sections for recruitment of JE or clerk.
  • Look for the link to apply online and click it.
  • Complete the registration process as per the steps provided. Filling the registration process is a self-explanatory process.
  • Upload the required documents, make fee payment, and take a print of the confirmation page.

HSSC Recruitment 2022 Admit Card

The admit cards for the HSSC 2022 clerk and junior engineer posts are uploaded to the official website. The admit card must be downloaded well before the exam. It is an important document to be carried to the examination hall. Candidates will not be allowed to enter the examination hall without the admit card. Candidates can download the HSSC clerk admit card and HSSC JE admit card using their registration Id and password.
