The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) Ltd., a joint venture of the Government of India and the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi, is among the biggest railway network connectivity. DMC is expanding its connectivity rapidly and is planning to extend its services to all parts of Delhi and the NCR region. Hence, for the smooth functioning of the services, it will surely require more manpower. Thus, through the DMRC 2022 recruitment, candidates can expect vacancies for various posts viz. Junior Engineer, Account Assistant, Station Controller, Maintainers, Stenographer Officer Assistant, etc. The applications will be invited separately for separate posts through online mode. DMRC warns aspirants against fake recruitment offers. The official notice states, “DMRC has not appointed any agent (s) or coaching center (s) for recruitment on its behalf. All recruitment-related notifications are uploaded on DMRC’s official website: www.delhimetrorail.com only. Public/candidates are advised not to fall prey to claims made by unscrupulous persons/agencies.”

The notice further states, “In case anyone comes across any such unscrupulous persons/agencies, please inform the nearest Police Station, with all possible details, so that appropriate action could be taken by Police.”

For 2020 recruitment, DMRC has announced 1493 vacancies in December 2019. The recruitment notification was released on 14th December 2019 for different executives and non-executive posts.

DMRC Recruitment 2022 Important Dates

The last dates for registrations for different posts are mentioned above. Similarly, all the other dates also vary for different recruitments. Selection for all posts will be done through a Personal Interview. There will be no entrance examination. The dates for the Personal Interview will be intimated to the candidates.

Candidates who qualify the Paper-I and Paper-II separately and make it to the merit list will be called for the GD/ Personal Interview round and subsequent Medical Examination.

Group Discussion

In the Group Discussion round, candidates are provided with a topic, and they are required to share their point of view on the topic. Candidates are tested on the following skills:

DMRC Recruitment 2022 - Preparation Tips

Candidates must follow the proper strategy and timetable for DMRC exam preparation. If you follow a study plan and some good study material, you can make it through the exam. As recruitment is done for different posts in DMRC, here are some common preparation tips for various DMRC posts:

  • Understand the Syllabus and Exam Pattern

First, understand the exam pattern and syllabus of the exam you have applied for. The exam pattern will give you a clear understanding of the exam. Also, referring to the syllabus will save you from studying irrelevant topics.

  • Make a Time-Table

DMRC Recruitment 2022 Eligibility

For Senior Section Engineer/ Rolling Stock

Age Limit: 58 to 61 years for PRCE (Post Retirement Contractual Engagement) basis. Maximum 55 years for deputation basis. Candidates must have minimum 10 years of experience in Railway workshop in areas like wheel boring, Axle grinding, disking/ undisking of wheelset of rolling stock and allied activities. Expertise in handling CNC machines.

For Senior Section Engineer/ Electric Loco Shed

Age Limit: 58 to 61 years for PRCE basis. Maximum 55 years for deputation basis. Candidates should have minimum 5 years of experience working on Wheel Press Machines in Indian Railways.

The eligibility requirements vary for executive and non-executive posts. Here are the details:

Executive Posts

  • Candidates must have qualified for the GATE exam and secured a minimum of 60% marks in B.E./B.Tech.
  • The age of the candidate must be between 18 to 28 years.

Non-Executive Posts

  • Candidates must have a three years Engineering degree/Diploma. Some posts also require an ITI diploma, Graduation (any discipline) or LLB as a minimum qualification.
  • The age limit is between 18 to 28 years.

DMRC Recruitment 2022 Application Process

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Recruitment 2022 application form must be filled out online only through the official website. Candidates are not required to submit a hard copy of any document/ filled-in application form to DMRC.

  • Go to the DMRC official website.
  • Click on the ‘Careers’ tab.
  • Click on the link to apply for the post.
  • Complete the registration process by providing the details asked for, email id, and mobile number.
  • On successful registration, the user ID and password will be sent to the registered email ID and password.
  • Log in and complete the details related to education and other personal details.
  • Upload the required documents (scanned images). The specification for the documents to be uploaded are as under:
    • Photographs must be in JPG/ JPEG format of a maximum of 80 KB size.
    • The signature image must be in JPG/JPEG format with a maximum of 80 KB size.
  • Make the application fee payment. The application fee payment must be paid through a credit/debit card or internet banking.
  • Take a print of the application form after a successful registration.

Application Fee

Candidates belonging to Unreserved and OBC categories (including Ex-Servicemen) are required to pay ₹ 500/- and those belonging to SC/ST/PWD category and Female candidates have to pay ₹ 250/-. The candidates will pay additional banking charges.

DMRC Recruitment 2022 Admit Card

The DMRC admit card will be available on the official website two or three weeks before the exam. Candidates can download the same from the official website. Admit cards will not be sent through the post.

Steps to download DMRC Admit Card 2022

  • Go to the official website.
  • Click on the ‘Careers’ section and click the download admit card link.
  • Enter your log-in details and the admit card will appear on the screen.
  • Download and take a print of the admit card.

Carry the admit card to the examination hall. No candidate will be allowed to enter the examination hall without the admit card/ hall ticket.

DMRC Recruitment 2022 Result

DMRC recruitment exam 2022 result will be announced within 3 months of the exam. Candidates must visit the official website for checking the Sarkari result. Here are the steps to download the result:

  • Go to the official website.

  • Click on the link for shortlisted candidates for the relevant post.
  • Search for your roll number in the list.
  • You can take a printout of the result for future reference.

DMRC Recruitment 2022 Cut Off

For selection in DMRC, candidates must clear the minimum cut-off prescribed by DMRC. The cut-off is released along with the result on the official website. The cut-off will depend upon the difficulty level of the exam, the number of candidates appearing for the exam, vacancies announced, etc.
