27 September 2017: The online application process for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2017 ended on 25 September at 5 PM. The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow is the exam conducting authority for CAT Exam 2017.
Approximately 2.31 lakh candidates have successfully registered for the management entrance examination this year. Last year, the number was 2,32,434.
The exam is scheduled for 26 November and will be held in two sessions for admission into top IIMs. It will be organized through 140 test cities across the country.

Correction in Submitted Application Form: 27 to 30 September
Admit Card Release: 18 October
Examination Date: 26 November
CAT Exam Pattern
The CAT exam question paper includes three sections viz.
Section I: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension
Section II: Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning
Section III: Quantitative Ability
"Also, we will allow use of basic onscreen calculator for computation. Candidates will be allotted exactly 60 minutes for answering questions in each section and they cannot switch from one section to another while answering questions in a section" said Prof Neeraj Dwivedi, IIM Lucknow.
IIM will also be releasing a tutorial on October 18 to help students in understanding the exam pattern.
The selection for admission into IIMs is done on the basis of candidate’s performance in Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI).
