Karnataka PGCET 2022 Eligibility

Aspirants are required to meet the following eligibility conditions for the Karnataka PGCET 2022 exam.

General Eligibility Criteria

  • Must have completed a B.Tech course from an institute recognized by the state of Karnataka with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks (45% marks for the reserved category)
  • Must have valid GATE scores

Must have studied and passed in one or more Government recognized institutes in Karnataka for a minimum of seven years either periodically or continuously from class 1 to the qualifying exam.

B

Must have studied and passed the qualifying exam within the state from an institute run by the state government.

C

Either parent of applicants must have studied in Government recognized institutes in the state for at least seven years.

D

The candidate or a parent of the candidate has resided in the state (Karnataka) for a minimum of seven years.

Applications for the Karnataka PGCET 2022 exam will be accepted through online mode. Applicants are required to submit their duly filled-in application forms within the given time limit. Candidates will also be provided with the option to make corrections in the application process. However, it is advised to fill out the application form carefully in the first go. Registration

  • Visit the official website https://cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea/ and look for the Karnataka PGCET Registration button.
  • Complete the registration process by providing details such as the candidate’s name, parent’s name, date of birth, gender, email ID, and mobile number.
  • After the successful registration, a user ID and password will be created.

Filling the Application Form

  • After successful registration, log in to complete the application form.
  • Provide your personal details and academic details.
  • Candidates applying based on the GATE score are required to provide GATE exam details.

Uploading Document

  • After completing the application form, upload the scanned images of candidates’ photographs, left thumb impressions, and signatures.
  • Verify all the information, agree to terms, and submit the form.

Fee Payment

  • The application fee is to be paid online using credit card/ debit card/ net banking and offline through cash payment at the State Bank of Mysore branch.
  • After successful fee payment, take a print of the confirmation page.

Karnataka PGCET Result 2022

  • Karnataka PGCET 2022 results were released on the official website as a scorecard on 29th December 2022.
  • Candidates are required to log in using their credentials to check the same.
  • The result/ scorecard will comprise marks obtained by the candidate, rank, and other personal details.
  • It is suggested to take a printout of the scorecard for future reference.
  • Those who meet the eligibility conditions will be called to participate in the counselling process.

Karnataka PGCET Merit List 2022

  • After the Karnataka PGCET 2022 result, the merit list is prepared for the counselling process.
  • Separate merit lists are prepared for candidates applying through the GATE scores and those applying directly.
  • The GATE merit list is prepared based on the GATE score, and the other merit list is prepared based on the PGCET score.

Karnataka PGCET Counselling 2022

Based on the merit list, candidates must participate in the offline counselling process. A counselling letter will be issued for the same, and candidates are required to report at the allotted counselling venue for the document verification process and other admission formalities.
