The Ministry of Home Affairs started this fellowship program to encourage widows or wards of Central Armed Police Forces and Assam Rifles personnel to practice higher studies in technical and professional courses. The sum total of 2000 scholarships will be uniformly distributed amongst both boys and girls every year. The scholars will get an annual scholarship amount of ₹ 27000 to 24000/-.
