The Railway Recruitment Board has released notification for the posts of RRB ALP, various Technician, and RRB group C posts. Around 17,673 posts were released for the post of Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) initially. Assistant Loco Pilot assists the main pilot of the train and helps him in giving the signals according to the signalling lights. Apart from providing directions, ALP also helps in minor repairing and fine tuning of the Locomotive.

The Assistant Loco Pilot is next promoted to the post of Senior Loco Pilot. Also, the loco pilot can sit for the examinations to become crew controller, power controller, Loco foreman, / supervisor. The RRB Loco Pilot exams have already ended up with the registration process and the exams are all scheduled to be held from 9^th August 2018. According to the recent notifications, the RRB ALP posts are likely to increase from 25502 to 60000, since the job role is very demanding.

RRB ALP Technician 2018 Application Procedure

Here is the detailed process to submit an application for the RRB ALP 2018 exam.

First, read the notification released by the officials of RRB.
Visit on the online website of RRB at rrbahmedabad.gov.in/
Click on the link for RRB Loco Pilot and Technician posts exam.
Fill the application form correctly with the asked details and information.
Upload the recent passport size photograph and signature.
Read the information carefully and ensure all the details are in accordance with the documents.
Pay the application fee which is ₹ 500 for General and OBC aspirants and ₹ 250 for SC/ST/PwDs/ transgender/ females/economically backward class.
Submit the application and keep a printout of the same for future reference.

The application process for the RRB ALP exam 2018 started from 3^rd February 2018 as per the notification released by the RRB authorities. The last date to apply for the application process was marked as 31^st March 2018. According to the sources, around 47 Lakh candidates have enrolled for the RRB Assistant Loco Pilot and RRB group C posts to achieve new career opportunities.

RRB ALP 2018 Pay Scale

For RRB Assistant Loco Pilot, the salary is ₹ 19,900/- under the 7^th CPC pay matrix, Level 2. Apart from the salary, you will get the following additional perks as well:
