SSC MTS 2019 - Paper 1 Result Declared, Paper 2 on 24th November 2019

SSC MTS Result 2019 released for the MTS Paper 1 exam at the official website. MTS Paper 2 will be held on 24th November 2019.

Staff Selection Commission has released the additional list for 9,551 candidates who have qualified the Paper-1 of Multi-Tasking Staff Examination 2019. The results of Multi-tasking staff (MTS) paper 1 2019 exam was released on 05th November 2019. Test-takers who had appeared in the SSC MTS Paper 1 examination on 2nd August 2019 can visit the official website of SSC to check and download their results.

SSC had conducted the Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff (Paper-I) Examination, 2019 from 2nd to 22nd August 2019. As per the official updates, a total of 38 lakh aspirants had applied for the SSC MTS exam out of which only 19 lakh 18 thousand had appeared for the exam at several centres across the country. As per the list released earlier, a total of 1,11,162 candidates have qualified the Paper-I.

As per the official notification, “Following discrepancies have been observed in the result of Paper-I of the said examination:

(i) Ex-servicemen candidates eligible for reservation were not considered for selection under ex-servicemen category.

(ii) EWS candidates qualifying at the UR standards have been selected in EWS category whereas they were eligible for selection in UR category.

Therefore, corrective action has been taken and it is observed that 9551 additional candidates are eligible for appearing in the Paper-II of Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff Examination, 2019 scheduled on 24-11-2019.”

What’s Next After the Announcement of SSC MTS Paper 1 Result?

Aspirants who clear the SSC MTS Tier 1 exam will have to appear for the SSC MTS Tier 2 exam. The SSC MTS Tier 2 exam will be of descriptive in nature in which candidates will be required to write a short essay or letter in English or any language included in the VIII Schedule of the Constitution. This particular stage of the exam is intended to test elementary language skills of the candidate in view of categorization of the post of Group-C and in view of job requirements.

However, one should note that SSC MTS Paper-II will be held only for those who meet the cut-off percentage or marks prescribed by the Commission in Paper-I for different categories. Marks scored in Paper-II will be used to decide merit in case more than one candidate score equal marks in Paper-I.
