BHU Postpones UG, PG Entrance Exam Owing to COVID-19 Lockdown
BHU entrance examinations for UG and PG admissions have been postponed to follow the lockdown rules.
The entrance examinations for Banaras Hindu University scheduled to be conducted on 26th April and 10th May have been postponed due to the extension of lockdown till 3rd May 2020. On Thursday (16th April 2020), the varsity spokesperson Mr. Rajesh Singh announces the news that the BHU UET/PET 2020 exams which were held on the decided dates have been postponed till further notice of the Central Government of India regarding COVID-19 lockdown. The university has also postponed the SET 2020 entrance test scheduled from 01st May 2020.

The revised dates of the BHU UG and PG entrance exams will be officially announced after the lockdown period is over. All the candidates are advised to visit the official website of BHU - bhu.ac.in for latest updates regarding the entrance exams and its schedule.

Right now, the official COVID-19 positive patients figure crossed the figure 13,387 with a death toll of 437 in the country. All the university, school, government recruitment, entrance exams have been put on hold or cancelled throughout the country until further notice.
More About BHU Entrance Test
Every year, BHU receives around 4 lakh application forms for about 12,500 seats. The PET entrance examination was scheduled to be conducted across in 115 cities, while the UET will be conducted at 45 cities of the country, as per the previous schedule. Both the exams are being conducted in two shifts – Morning and Evening. The morning shift will begin at 9 am and the evening shift will begin at 3 pm. The exam will be for 2 hours 30 minutes of duration.
