The Law School Admission Council (LSAC) conducts the Law School Admission Test (LSAT)-India for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate law courses. The LSAT score is accepted by more than 52 law colleges in India. The exam is modelled on the world-renowned LSAT, which is considered by law schools in Australia and North America for admission. The exam assesses the critical thinking ability of candidates required for successfully completing a law degree. The LSAT 2021 exam will be conducted through online mode using AI-assisted technology. LSAT 2021 Latest Update - LSAC has preponed the LSAT India 2021 as CBSE has postponed the Class XII examinations. The exam, which was earlier scheduled to commence on 14th June, will now be starting from 29th May 2021. The exam is conducted on multiple days till 31st May 2021. Consequently, the last date for application form submission is now 14th May instead of 4th June. Thus, interested candidates must submit their applications on time.

The exam will be conducted in online mode (proctored), where candidates can appear for the exam from their home or the preferred location. This is done keeping in view the COVID-19 situation.

LSAT 2021 Eligibility

LSAC doesn’t specify any eligibility conditions for admission to law courses. It is responsible only for conducting the exam and sharing the score with participating institutes. Thus, the participating institutes will provide the eligibility criteria for admission to different courses. The general eligibility criteria are as under:

For 3-year LLB programme

Candidates must have done graduation (any discipline) from a recognised university.

5-year integrated law programme

Candidates must have passed the class 12th level exam from a recognised board.

LLM programme

Candidates should have completed a bachelor’s degree in law.

Note: Minimum marks requirement in the qualifying exam may vary as per the institutions’ guidelines.

LSAT 2021 Application Process

The LSAT application process 2021 started on 10th November 2021. Candidates are advised to fill the application forms online till 14th May 2021. The applications are to be submitted only through the online mode. Before registering for the exam, candidates must make sure they are eligible for the exam.

Steps for LSAT 2021 Registration

The LSAT 2021 application submission process involves registration, filling application form, uploading documents, choosing an exam centre, choosing a law course, registration fee payment, etc. Here are the steps involved:

  • Provide the details asked for such as name, nationality, email ID, password, course applying for, etc.
  • Your email address will be verified.
  • After completing the verification process, log in using the details.

  • Upload the required documents.

LSAT India 2021 Admit Card

After successful submission of the application form, candidates will be issued slots and timings for the LSAT 2021 exam. Candidates are required to book the slot for the exam. Immediately after the slot booking process, LSAT 2021 admit card will be generated. The admit card will have information on the candidate's roll number, name, exam date, timing, and exam day instructions. The admit cards can be downloaded from the official website.

LSAT 2021 Exam Result

LSAC will declare the LSAT 2021 result on the official website. The result will be declared a few weeks after the exam. The result will carry details like marks obtained by the candidate in the exam and the qualifying status of the candidate. Those who appear for the exam can check the result using their log-in credentials.

The scores/ marks obtained by the candidates in LSAT 2021 will be shared with the associated colleges. The colleges will then prepare merit lists based on the scores. The seat allotment will be done based on the merit list.

LSAT 2021 Counselling

LSAC will not be responsible for the counselling process. The associated colleges will conduct the counselling process where seat allotment will be done based on the merit list prepared by the colleges.
