KPTCL Recruitment 2022 Pattern & Syllabus

Applied students will be shortlisted on the following basis:

• Online Aptitude Test (for AE and JE post)
• Merit List (for JA post)

Online Aptitude Test for Junior Engineer

The test will be of 2 hours duration and will comprise of 100 Multiple Choice Questions. Each question will be of 1 mark and there will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every incorrect response. The medium of the Aptitude Test will be English. The questions will be from the following sections:

Educational Qualification

Assistant Engineer (Civil)

Should have BE or B.tech in Civil Engineering from a Polytechnic institute in the state of Karnataka.

Assistant Engineer (Elect)

Should have BE or B.tech in Electrical Engineering from a Polytechnic institute in the state of Karnataka.

Junior Engineer (Civil)

Should have Diploma in Civil Engineering from a Polytechnic institute in the state of Karnataka.

Junior Engineer (Elect)

Should have Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a Polytechnic institute in the state of Karnataka.

Junior Assistant

Should have passed SSLC/ 10th examination from the State of Karnataka.

And

Passed Senior Grade Typewriting and Senior Grade Shorthand examination in Kannada & English conducted by the Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board.

OR

Passed Diploma in Secretarial Practice/Commercial Practice with Kannada & English granted by the Board of Technical Education in Karnataka.

Candidates of the General category must have secured a minimum of 60% in the qualifying exam. SC/ST category candidates must be passed.

The official notification states;

“The applications of the candidates possessing qualification in disciplines/ branches other than what is specified against the above said posts will not be considered.”

“Any equivalent qualifications other than above-specified qualifications will not be considered for appointment.”

Age Limit

The minimum age limit for the recruiting post is 18 years, while the maximum age limit is 35 years (for General) and 40 years for (SC/ST).
