KPTCL Recruitment 2020 Pattern & Syllabus

Applied students will be shortlisted on the following basis:

  • Online Aptitude Test (for JE post)
  • Merit List (for JPA post)

Online Aptitude Test for Junior Engineer

The test will be of 2 hours duration and will comprise of 100 Multiple Choice Questions. Each question will be of 1 mark and there will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for every incorrect response. The medium of the Aptitude Test will be English. The questions will be from the following sections:

Selection on Merit Basis for Junior Personal Assistant

For the JPA post, the selection will be made on the basis of marks secured in the Senior Grade Typewriting examination. A merit list will be prepared for selection.

KPTCL Recruitment 2020 Eligibility

Herein, view the comprehensive details of eligibility pattern for various posts of the KPTCL Recruitment 2020:

Educational Qualification

Junior Engineer (Civil)

Should have Diploma in Civil Engineering from a Polytechnic institute in the state of Karnataka.

Junior Personal Assistant

Should have passed SSLC/ 10th examination from the State of Karnataka.

And

Passed Senior Grade Typewriting and Senior Grade Shorthand examination in Kannada & English conducted by the Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board.

OR

Passed Diploma in Secretarial Practice/Commercial Practice with Kannada & English granted by the Board of Technical Education in Karnataka.

Candidates of General category must have secured a minimum of 60% in the qualifying exam. SC/ST category candidates must be passed.

The official notification states;

“The applications of the candidates possessing qualification in disciplines/ branches other than what is specified against the above said posts will not be considered.”

“Any equivalent qualifications other than above-specified qualifications will not be considered for appointment.”

Age Limit

The minimum age limit for the recruiting post is 18 years, while the maximum age limit is 35 years (for General) and 40 years for (SC/ST).

KPTCL 2020 Admit Card –

As per the released KPTCL 2020 recruitment notification, applicants can download their KPTCL Admit Card 2020 by visiting the official website. The admit card for the 2020 session will be made available in the month of April 2020 (tentatively).

KPTCL 2020 Result –

Candidates can view their KPTCL Result 2020 by login at the official website by using their login credentials including registration number and password. The written exam results will likely to be declared on May 2020 while final results will be published by the official exam conducting authority by July 2020.
