The Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) manages the ITI admission process for various ITIs in the state. Candidates can apply for the state-level admission process every year through online mode. Admission is done based on the merit list prepared after considering the marks secured in the qualifying exam. No entrance exam is conducted for admission to Jharkhand ITIs. Jharkhand ITI Admission 2021 Pattern & Syllabus

No entrance exam is conducted for admission to Jharkhand ITIs. Therefore, there are no details for exam pattern and syllabus.

Jharkhand ITI Admission 2021 Eligibility

Candidates must make sure that they meet the eligibility criteria for admission into ITIs. If any candidate is found to be ineligible at any stage of admission, the candidature will be cancelled. Here are the eligibility details:


  • Applicants must be Indian citizens and must have a domicile of Jharkhand state.

Age Limit (as on 1st July 2021)

  • The minimum age limit is 14 years and the maximum age limit is 40 years. For Mechanic Motor Vehicle trade, the minimum age limit is 17 years.
  • For the widows of defence personnel (those who lost their lives during military operations), the maximum age limit is 45 years.

Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must have passed class 8th or 10th level education from a recognised board.

Physical Fitness

Candidates are required to produce a medical fitness certificate from a registered medical practitioner at the time of admission.

Jharkhand ITI Admission 2021 Application Process

Applications for the Jharkhand ITI admission process are submitted only through the online mode at the official website. Candidates must submit their duly filled-in applications within the given time period. Here is the detailed application process.

Application Submission Process

  • Visit the official website at https://jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in.
  • Click on the ‘Click Here for All Online Application Submission - JCECEB - 2021’ option.
  • Now, click the ‘Online Application Form Submission for Admission in ITI in 2021’ link.
  • Provide the details for registration and submit the same. On successful registration, a registration number will appear on the screen. This along with the password will be your login credentials.
  • Login to complete the application form with details for educational qualification, marks obtained in the qualifying exam, address, etc.
  • Upload the scanned images of your qualifying exam mark sheet, passport-size photograph (coloured), signature, and left-hand thumb impression.
  • Make application fee payment.
  • After successful payment, take a print of the confirmation page/ filled-in application form for future references. No need to send the printed copy to the board’s office.

Jharkhand ITI Admission 2021 Merit List

The merit list for Jharkhand ITI admission was released on 23rd August 2021. Two separate merit lists were released for class 8th level and class 10th level. The merit list is prepared based on the marks in the qualifying exam. Candidates can access the merit list using their credentials. First, the provisional list is released and candidates are provided with the option to raise objections against their details (if any errors are found). After, considering the objections, the final merit list is released based on which the admission is carried out.

Tie-Breaking Criteria

If the marks of two or more candidates are the same, the one who is older in age will be considered first. If the tie still persists, the alphabetic order of name will be considered for giving merit rank.

Jharkhand ITI Admission 2021 - Counselling Process/ Seat Allotment

Jharkhand ITI counselling process will be carried out based on the merit list prepared by the JCECEB officials. All eligible candidates must participate in the counselling process wherein seats are allotted based on the merit list and choice of the institute. After the seat allotment, candidates must appear for the verification of the original documents and pay the admission fee to complete the process.

Question 1: What if I have received marks in the qualifying exam in the form of CGPA? Should I write my CGPA in place of marks obtained?

No. Instructions are provided for converting CGPA into equivalent percentage marks. Follow the same and fill in the converted percentage while filling the application form?

Question 2: Can I submit the application fee through offline mode using e-challan?

No. The application fee is to be paid only through the online mode.

Question 3: When will the Jharkhand ITI 2021 counselling process begin?

The counselling schedule is not announced yet. However, the counselling process will tentatively begin in September 2021.

Question 4: What if I fail to attend the counselling process?

The seat allotted will be cancelled and will be given to another candidate.
